Funny thing is, most anti-vaccers are probably vaccinated. That happened before they had a choice about it. It's their children which are put at risk.

I does make you wonder if they'd stick to their princples in the event someone were to develop an ebola vaccine.

To make aliens from space aware of Ebolagate, Italian farmer Dario Bambarin created an Ebola virus crop circle in his field.

The Ebola vaccine is in animal testing right now. No idea who the anti-vaxxers will react when it's approved.

Don't know if I told you, but I heard a great story about one of my nieces. She's the one who's dad works for the National Cancer Institute and she's worked there herself for the past two summers. She was in Detroit visiting another niece and they went out to a bar. After a bit, niece 1 came over to niece 2 and told her they had to leave immediately because some idiot girl was pushing a conspiracy theory that the government already had the cure for cancer and niece 1 was about to beat the crap out of her. So proud of that girl!

But um why does the government even run this cancer factory anyway?

I think they should just stop making it.

Great, since they already make flu vaccine with eggs, and now they'll add ebola vaccine, the price of eggs will likely go through the roof.

But on the upside, the eggs will be ebola-free.

Now if only they could stop putting salmonella in them.

Well, going by what the anti-vaxxers I know are already saying... probably that the 'vaccine' is a sham by big pharma and the gov't, who own the patents on Ebola in the first place, and all you really need to do is take vitamins and essential oils and all will be well.

So, really nothing will change.

Never let it be said that CNN is anything other than fair and balanced. Here we have Don Lemon's interview with Robin Cook, the guy who wrote the novel Outbreak in 1987. Cook, an authority, tells us that CNN is by no means overblowing the Ebola thing.

And Cook is not only a fiction writer but also a DOCTOR -- of ophthalmology. As Rand Paul has shown us, a board certification in ophthalmology (even one from a board that the certified doctor himself created from whole cloth) renders one an authority on all subjects medical.

The highlights are: (1) Cook's suggestion that the Ebola crisis may spur someone to write the next great medical thriller; and (2) his damning expose of CDC fraud, wherein CDC tells us that the virus is spread only by direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person yet at the same time ADMITS that the virus is found in saliva! :freakout:

Probably not. Seeing as it's my brother's vaccine and he works with plant based medicines, I'm going with produced in plants. Maybe tobacco, but I don't know.

This sort of shit is why Ebola continues to spread in Western Africa:

It's a hospital worker dragging a hospital mattress covered in bodily fluids from an infected patient down the street where people are milling about and preparing food. It's not that they don't care, they just don't know any better.

Hell we have a top-notch health care system in this country and we can't even keep health care workers caring for an Ebola patient from being infected. Despite all the assurances that the CDC has given the public, Ebola is so very infectious that even minor breaches in containment protocol have dire results.

Granted that mattress in the picture should have been sealed in plastic before it left the residence. Also that worker does not have sufficient covering for his head. It's a lack of knowledge of proper handling procedures only made worse by a lack of funds for proper training/equipment.

Do you think this is lack of knowledge, or lack of resources?

Because it could just as well be: here is some poor sod whose job is to get rid of infected/soiled crap from the hospital, and he usually does it on his pushbike or motorised scooter if he has any form of transport at all. And then he's given a giant mattress to move, and he's made to wear this stupid get-up for his safety (he never did before, so it's lucky he hasn't caught anything else by now!), and he does his job as best he can for his awful pay. Which is to drag a mattress through busy streets and hope nobody catches anything from it, because nobody thought to bring any form of transport with those overalls.

From what I can tell, there are similar ebola protocols and procedures employed in small West African villiages and Texas hospitals.

I heard on the radio news today (BBC Radio 4) that Ikea have donated more money to helping stop the spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa than Spain, Luxembourg, and Norway combined.

That's right - a manufacturer of flat-pack furniture has given more than the combined efforts of three fairly wealthy countries.

I'm not sure why Ikea would donate any money to help stop the spread of Ebola in Spain, Luxembourg or Norway.
