Apparently, there's a trade in human fat, which is used in cosmetics. Here's the story:

Yeah, i keep wondering about whether this story is really true. It must be so much easier to get human fat in non-illegal ways.

As far as the murdering, yeah, that sounds a little farfetched.

But graverobbing human bone and tissue has happened before. Alastair Cooke's corpse was among those that were illegally harvested to make Alloderm and other human tissue based products for everything from bone grafts to lip augmentation.
