You would think it would be easy for him, he just needs to go to NASA or the UN and use that illustration.

Bought a simple remote button, so I don't have to touch the camera when taking the pictures.
Still working on getting the solar filter to give me more than just a mostly featureless sphere. I mean, that will still be interesting to me, but I want more.

Clouds passing in front of the sun. I guess this is proof that I can catch some variation in detail.

Heh...Local reports are of impending public porta-potty crisis.
The shit resources shift for a two minute event more pronounced along a 70 mile wide corridor across the continent.
Are we amazing, or what?

If you're a good boy scout you dig a hole first then bury it when you are done.

The problem with that, as I know from experience, is that you've just set a trap. At least the other way, it's out in the open and public knowledge.

Relative to the sun, it has to speed and slow, or the earth, relative to the sun, has to speed and slow.
Guy, your model does not work with static velocities considering three bodies.

No, relative to the Earth the velocity is constant, it is only the apparent velocity relative to the Sun from the perspective of the Earth, that there is any apparent change in velocity. There is little change in real velocity in the Moons orbit around the Earth.

That is some fancy dancing. I said relative to the sun, and you change it to relative to the earth...

I know that the totality is a spectacle not to be missed, but my plans didn't allow for it, and now I'm not entirely regretting it. Not a big fan of big crowds.
I'm still planning to take an hour or two at work and photograph what I can (I'll have to use the solar filter the entire time because even 90% totality is too much light to safely view unaided.)

The Moon orbits the Earth, the Earth Moon system orbits the Sun and they seem to be doing so nicely. The existing system is what is observed and described in the standard model, the flat Earth model doesn't work.

I will see about 80% coverage in my location and I don't plan on traveling to see more. I have already shown my grandchildren how to make a pin hole projection to safely view the eclipse if they are allowed to see it while in school, otherwise they can view the images later. I will be using the same kind of pin hole projection to view it from my house, provided there is no cloud cover.

See, you have to claim the moon and earth are one thing to make your model work.
As if the moon is completely immune from the sun, as if there is some force-field around the earth and moon!!
You can't work the model with three bodies. That is the trick they are using on you, claiming two bodies are one body, to make it work.

NASA doesn't seem to have any problem sending a spaceship to other bodies in the solar system, so it seems that someone can work out the multi body problem. Just because you can't comprehend it, doesn't mean that it doesn't work. NASA seems to be able to do the math for a multi object system, so there is no need to reduce it to 2 objects.
List of Solar System objects - Wikipedia
Your flat-Earth nonsense is just that, nonsense.

Just remember, even your model says the earth, where the humans live, is the only place that a full eclipse can happen. But we are not special, right?

Hey, David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear, so that means magic is real!! This is where you are in your logic, the sad thing is you desire so much to hate God that you turn off your brain.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
Your model is so fucked that you have to make up mysterious clouds of comets somewhere far off that send comets to your galaxy because comets don't work with the time frames you need for your model to work.
None of your stuff works together, it all contradicts itself, in the same way you can't make a three body model work.
