I agree! Especially "The Empire Strikes Back"! I wasn't too fond of the newer movies, though. That Jar Jar Binks was crap. Star Trek rules!

Jar Jar is actually Sith. He was made to seem foolish, just like Yoda was at his introduction.
The "phantom menace" is really Jar Jar.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
Just been back over all the episodes of Voyager and DS9 I couldn't remember (via the wonders of streaming video).
ST dose somehow give me a wonderful safe/relaxed feeling, good for just settling down with a few smokes, some munchies and nothing else to do.

You have just perfectly described the experience I'm having now as I watch each of my Voyager DVDS, one after another.

Obviously, I agree. Star Trek is awesome. All of it.
And now that you mention it: it's been some time since I last watched Voyager!

Imagine, a person who calls herself "Ensign Steve" a Star Trek fan.
Weird.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
Seven, do you know that with your avatar and sig and name and title, I sometimes get confused and think I'm talking to the real Seven of Nine on this forum. Srsly.

Really! That's quite a compliment to my avatar and banner makers, isn't it? I'll have to pass it along, if possible.
um, I may also have initially confused you, Ensign, because, up until recently, I would come and post here during slack periods in a Star Trek role playing game while still pretty much in character.
That's why I signed up here as Seven: so I could post while I wasn't playing, and then go back.

Gosh, another compliment.
um, I also tend to fall back on her speech patterns when I want to say something well, but am feeling shy...and I nearly always feel shy.
I didn't realise I was doing it until I found I was scaring the youngins when I moderated. LOL

I love the way everything with her is an order, even her questions. "State your response!"

YES! And she's never afraid to answer back, either.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
Who was she talking to there, the Hirogen? For some reason I imagine T'Pol saying it to the Orion slave trader.
Ahh... the Hirogen. I just finished watching The Killing Game parts 1&2 this week. They were on Spike, not that I don't have the DVDs. Seven, so very vampish in her 1940's getup.

Yes, it was Mister What Possible Use Can You Make of My Intestines.
Yes, T'Pol is also unafraid to speak her mind.

Re: Star Trek is awesome
True that!
Also, what about when she very first regains her identity in the holodeck. "I must cease this activity." So fucking blunt.
