Re: Codenames
Arguments in favour of guessing Plate now:
- None of this being behind on the first turn. Yay!
- Have the extra guess available at a later turn. Whee!
Further considerations:
- If Plate is wrong, we end our turn in any case.
- If it's a neutral word, it's much like passing, except that Plate is known to all to be a neutral word.
Arguments against guessing Plate now:
- If it's our opponents' word, we're even further behind. Bad!
- If it's the assassin word, we lose. Very bad!
All things considered I now agree with Jerome's reasoning that passing is the better option.

Re: Codenames
Should reimbursement be our first guess?
The other one's not so obvious to me: lunch money is a thing we have in the UK (often in the context of giving to kids so they can purchase their lunch at school).

Re: Codenames
I think reimbursement should be our first guess. Lunch money would make sense here in the us as well. The only other one I can think of as related to money at all would be in a the christian sense of donation passing the plate etc. I don't think Kael would think of that.
So reimbursement, strongly
lunch money- seems likely
nothing else really.

Re: Codenames
I suppose the polite thing to do would be to wait for bey. But I'm pretty confident that he would agree that we should pass - so to speed things up a little I shall go ahead and do that.
Pass
Well done Kael for giving us another good clue!

Heart is the obvious one to me.
As for the rest... Forehead and dimple come to mind, but I'm not too sure about them.
