My recent experience 'argueing' (in quotes cause all I've done is ask them to back their shit up) with Trump supporters is that they are scared and angry and looking for a fight and want to feel that sweet sensation of winning, even if it's just in the random facebook comments.

More importantly they see liberals as one giant evil monster. In one case angry old white lady kept getting me and another poster confused and kept claiming we were saying things that never appeared in the thread but were infact from MSNBC as if all liberals exist as some sort of hive mind Hydra monster. I kept waiting for her to say Checkmate Atheists!

They could be dying and the world gone to complete shit, but as long as they get that rush of being on the winning team, it's all worth it! As that rush is all they have left, better hold on tight to it, I hear Obama lurks in the night stealing people's good feelings, find out where he will strike next, InfoWars has your back.

NPR noted yesterday that many prominent Conservatives claim that if any theater company had done a production of Julius Caesar in which Caesar was modeled after Obama, Liberals and the "Mainstream Media" would have been outraged -- outraged, I tell you. The problem, as NPR noted, was that in 2012, the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis did exactly that.

And the collective reaction of Liberals and the Mainstream Media was, "meh." Some Conservative publications reviewed and praised the play (the American Conservative, for example), but neither did they seem to think it was a big deal, by and large.


Besides, as NPR pointed out, you have to seriously misinterpret and misunderstand Julius Caesar in order to come out of it thinking that it's a pro-assassination play.
