Sorry, I have not yet got to those. Thankfully, it seems...

It was just so drawn out and pointless.

I think the Glory arc was the last of Buffy that I saw, except for a few shows near the end. :kickscan:

Oh, Firefly has some killer quotes, too.

Mal: “The next time you decide to stab me in the back, have the guts to do it to my face.” :giggles:

IMO there is nothing in the Joss Whedon universe worse than the BTVS Power rangers arc with Adam as the big bad. I refuse to watch those episodes again.

Yeah, I saw those too. It seems as if everytime I tuned in, it was for the low points. :\

I actually kinda liked the Power Rangers Buffy vs. Adam finale. :blush2:

Adam was ok, I disliked the inishitive and felt it was overall pretty corny (and not in a funny way like the nerd trio) and seemed to pop out of nowhere in the show (even though in Angel we are told that not only is it a reasonably old government op but that two main buffy characters knew about it, but failed to say anything). The only good thing was the chip and how that played out.

I just finished watching all of Firefly (including all the commentaries) and I got Serenity in the mail today with seasons 4 & 5 of Buffy.

I have the week off, the hubby is abroad until the weekend, the kids have school during the day and go to bed at 8 pm, and life is smilin'. :D

Excellent.

So how'd you like Firefly? I had a hard time getting into it until near the end, oddly. Mostly because I didn't like Mal at first. I ended up loving it, though, and I thought Serenity (which I saw in the theatre) rocked all over the place.

I loved Firefly, although there were a couple of episodes towards the end I wasn't too fond of which had a familiar air to them and I suspect I might have caught on the TV back in the day without realising it. But overall it was brilliant. I have a hard time imagining seeing them in the airing order, though.
It was both very similar and very different from the two other series, and I suspect the target demographic was just too narrow for it to succeed; "30-something intellectuals who not only actually watch tv but also have a fondness for westerns and sci-fi".

I shall prep my popcorn and clear out the sofa to try and watch Serenity tonight on the big TV as it deserves (I have watched most of the Jossverse stuff on my little portable DVD player). I don't have a widescreen TV, though, so I am not sure how much that will hamper the experience. I tend to prefer watching the later episodes of Angel on the little screen, as the big one distorts the picture somewhat when it letterboxes it.

The Sci-Fi channel had a Firefly marathon recently, and they ran it in the freakish order. They also had that heinous, horrible, vile beyond belief narration about the war Fox made Joss tack on to the beginning of every episode. It was hard to watch.

Finished watching Serenity this morning, skimmed through the extras and started it all over again. Awesome!

Sorry Buffy, you'll just have to wait a while.

I watched Serenity without having the benefit of having watched Firefly. Thought it was a pretty good movie. It was a good experience even though I knew little about the seires. I'm sure it would be a great experience for fans of the show.

It did prompt me to read more about the show at Wiki. Now, I want to watch the whole series.

I got Serenity for Christmas which prompted me to download and watch Firefly in January. :)

Ok, Angel, season 4 question:
Was Jasmine right or wrong? Did the Fang gang do the right thing in fiighting her or should they just have allowed humankind to finally live in peace?

(much as I hate that whole arc, I love the ethical dilemma there)

I would say that they were right to do what they did. Humanity needs to stand or fall on its own.
