Or Upgrade? Upgrades often damage things. Or Hose, as in, "That thing's hosed!"

It doesn't really matter though: even if we keep guessing correctly, once we've used up our allowed three guesses then the red team win as they only have one word left to guess.

Blue Team may guess twice more. You get the clue # indicated (2) + a bonus.

We get two more guesses this round at most - and to get the last one, our next guess has to be correct.

It occurs to me that Kael could have done (3) to give us extra guesses to catch up, even if there aren't really 3 words that match the clue. If I was going to do that tactic, I would choose the clue based on what the team should avoid guessing (red or assassin word). So that makes me wary of Upgrade, or any other kind of antonym or tongue-in-cheek guess

10 Words left on the grid.

1 is the Assassin - game over
1 is Red - game over
8 are either Neutral or Blue

I used the zero trick in the last round of the previous game when I thought things were hopeless and that our team had nothing to lose.

We could guess Balloon, for no reason other than all the blue words so far are towards the right of the grid, so we could choose one on the left so that if we're right it will balance the distribution more evenly.

It doesn't matter really as we're screwed in any case. I'm sure Crumb will be able to provide a dead certain clue when he only has to indicate one word for red to win.

A variant of the game would be to play a certain number of rounds and then total up the numbers of words remaining for the losing team for each round - and the team with the fewest unidentified words would be the winner. Then it would usually not pay to guess blindly and it would be better to pass. But with the standard game where winning each round is what matters then towards the end of each round it is always best for the losing team to guess blindly. It's kinda similar to the difference between match play and stroke play in golf.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm gonna be the clue-giver next round, I should probably review all of that.

In that case, I do like Upgrade as much as any other answer. (Assuming Kael also remembered the 0 option.)

But I did the last 2 guesses, I'm not going to push it.

Likewise.

Also I realize I look like I'm trying to take credit for Slam. That was Jerome's guess, I just pulled the trigger. After I fucked up with Monitor I figured I should trust him.

You often connect a sprinkler to a hose. So that's my thought.
