Geocaching is a growing hobby in the U.S., maybe worldwide, as GPS devices have become less and less expensive. People place items in a hidden container, post it's GPS location on geocaching websites, then people look for them to find what's inside. It's been made more popular by people leaving items of value in the geocaches, such as jewelry or souvenir trinkets.

Tulsa homeowner has gas pains. Natural gas service to a resident near 81st and Harvard in Tulsa has been cut off due to gas leakage detected in the soil. Shutting off the gas has had no effect. Officials suspect there is a capped and buried oil or gas well in the area. So far, no answers. Homeowner worries they won't have any heat next winter. All I can say is light the yard on fire, the house will be warm and it's free.

Not related, at least I don't think so: Okay police chief and four officers fired by town council. The Okay council, not okay with Chief Myers, also accepted the resignation of the one remaining police officer in Okay. For now, the Wagoner County Sheriff's Officer deputies will respond to calls in Okay, but will not patrol the streets on a regular basis.

I thought it was bad when I stuck my cousin Mikey in the back of his hand with a dart. That was nothing. Prosecutors are considering charges on a 10-year old boy who shot his 14-year old friend in the head when they were playing cops and robbers inside his grandfather's Cement, Oklahoma home. The victim is brain-dead but being kept alive until his organs can be harvested.

Don't think Oklahoma has an oil-based economy? It does, or did, anyway. Mineral rights trump surface landowner rights. Yes, according to Oklahoma law, a landowner cannot stop an oil company from drilling on their land or a coal company from strip-mining it. The only point up for negotiation is how much they'll get paid, and if they can't agree it will be determined by a court.
