I've been furiously printing all the stuff on my Evil Multinational Corporation (EMC) relocation program. Damn, they're nearly going to hand-carry us in a royal sedan. I don't think they'll help us sell the old house, but they will help us sell the new one. As in, get the realtor and pay the commissions, and possibly the closing costs as well. Plus we get moving expenses, and even a debit card with a lump-sum on it for move-in expenses (drapes & such). Plus, they'll pay all expenses for a pre-move house-hunting trip.

Houston, you have a problem. 'Cause I'm on my way.

Watser, well for a few hours here and there with power outages, cable down, the usual after a windstorm around here. Why they don't put our wires underground is beyond me.

Yeah, it will definitely be less stressful all around, despite the cross-country move and drastic change in climate, and ... well, just about everything. But you wouldn't believe the difference in housing costs from here to there. I can get a house on a full freaking ACRE, 2 extra bedrooms, a game room, pool if we want, yadda, for HALF of what my new house will sell for. Obviously the equity will grow much more slowly, but I can actually pay on the principal and see my debts shrink rather than grow. :woohoo:

ETA: Yeah, P-dub, they don't know what they're in for, and I'm certainly not the one who'll warn them. Houston isn't my first choice of places to live by a longshot, but the career advancement is too good to pass up.
