Effing eff from effville. Ich gehaben ein cold-type thing. It's the scratchy throat, snurffly whatever that's been going around. I do not seem to have been hit as hard as others, so here's hoping. Still, I do kind of look forward to the Lauren Bacall-voice phase of it in a way.

Actually, it was coming at me from about three directions all at once. But it seems to have the longest viral incubation period I have ever encountered. Maybe it's something where it needs to be "pollinated" by co-sufferers to activate?

Everyone in my house and work place has been coming down with this & that or not really getting the full deal, but continually fighting off this and that, like myself.

I've also noticed that more people are complaining that it's taking longer to get rid of their colds/flus than normal and that they'll think it's gone just to have it reappear.

Has anyone else noticed that trend?

We've had weird versions of the plague going around here too. Some schools have closed because so many kids were sick and it wasn't swine flu. At work, we passed around this illness that started with a sore throat that disappeared after a couple of days but segued into one of the worsts cases of head congestion I've ever had. That lasted for a couple more days and then I was done. But for several people at work that segued into some nasty sinus infections and upper respiratory crap.

Yes, the nasty upper respiratory crap, which I got an extended head ache from, and my son has a lingering cough. The cough is worse at night too.

I have flu thinger but without the same cough that Caligukid has (his is, pardon me, "juicy", mine is one of those dry sorts that just kind of tags along at the end of exhaling. Plus a wibbly feeling in the middle of my chest.). I am peevish about it. I thought I'd escaped because Joesix had it, then Caligukid, and now it falls on me. WHY does it do the round about thing and make me think I had got the right vaccine and then strike? This is untoward.

I'm here to celebrate I now have a voice, after several days of no voice, just coughing. I'm glad I got the cold shortly after I tore up my knee, two birds with one stone. Still was a nasty cough that left my lungs tired and achey.

I've managed to beat whatever it is back time after time this season.. so far.

Sleep is helping me, I slept from midnight to Noon, then went back to bed at 5:30pm and slept until 9am.

I've had a couple of false-start colds the past week or so. Never seems to settle in. Things are so much better than before I had my tonsils removed, since they would swell up with infection if I had so much as a sniffle, so I'm reveling in that.

I never had the opportunity to feel what my tonsils being infected was like, or I don't remember because I was too young.
