"Craziest" correlates with "hottest residents" :) ... and - with the addition of Hawaii - with "best vacation spot" :):)

Nobody thinks much of Texas.

Why did no one pick Canada for the weirdest accent? More importantly, why doesn't Canada even show up on the map?

Interesting that places with low populations have more fast food places per capita. That's because McDonald's or Subway are in truck stops all over the country, that and every little burg has a burger joint. The winner is San Juan County, Colorado, where they have 4 restaurants, making them have 7,117 per 1,000 population.

"Fast food" is an oxymoron. Add "restaurant" to the end of it, and you get a nested oxymoron.

Ok, now that I got that off my chest, back to maps.

This map reproportions countries by net migration figures.

The main difference between a fast food restaurant and regular restaurant is when you pay the check, before receiving the food or after.

Interesting that there's so much expansion of forests.

Not that there were a lot of forests in some of the countries in the first place (the British Isles notably seem to lack much forest).

The average American was asked to name the Australian states:

They were all cleared for grazing. Or building. Or burning.

Sweden and Finland, on the other hand ... not much except forest.

Someone else's trees, obviously. Since they have so much of theirs left.

Place The State - Intermediate Online Learning

It tests your knowledge of the USA. Warning - some short audio clips play when you drop each state in its correct (or wrong) position. I got 88% - but then I'm not an American. :trophy:

African Ccountries - Game Two Africa! I don't expect to do so well on this one... I'll edit to post my score once I know... :scared:

ETA: As I feared 81% - and I only did that well by employing jigsaw skills rather than geography ones. :dunce:

Got 84% for the US, lots of states that only border other states :blank:

Got 100% for Europe. They are not too strict with the rly tiny ones that make Luxembourg seem medium size.

96% for Africa, again: coastlines make it a lot easier.
