News Torture by Music

Here's a list of the artists (and in a few cases, the songs) that the United States uses to help along those stubborn interrogations when people just won't talk. I'd love to know which songs they're choosing when it's not specified. Link to the original document.

--AC/DC
-- Aerosmith
-- Barney theme song (By Bob Singleton)
-- The Bee Gees
-- Britney Spears
-- Bruce Springsteen
-- Christina Aguilera
-- David Gray
-- Deicide
-- Don McClean
-- Dope
-- Dr. Dre
-- Drowning Pool
-- Eminem
-- Hed P.E.
-- James Taylor
-- Limp Bizkit
-- Marilyn Manson
-- Matchbox Twenty
-- Meatloaf
-- Meow mix jingle
-- Metallica
-- Neil Diamond
-- Nine Inch Nails
-- Pink
-- Prince
-- Queen
-- Rage against the Machine
-- Red Hot Chili Peppers
-- Redman
-- Saliva
-- Sesame street theme music (By Christopher Cerf)
-- Stanley Brothers
-- The Star Spangled Banner
-- Tupac Shakur

But which songs? My guesses:
I'd say anything by Neil Diamond or RHCP.
"Little Red Corvette"
Queen's "Bicycle"
Drowning Pool's "Bodies" (they really only had the one song)

Nickelback, Neil Diamond, Meatloaf, and "Little Drummer Boy" would have me spilling state secrets in minutes. The Meow Mix jingle and Barney?

Queen's "Bicycle"
There's a Parody of this song, "Bi-Sexual" that often gets played by the bisexual contingent at SF Pride Parade. I believe this year my girlfriend threatened the organizer with death if they played that mix one more time.

A Michael Bolton and Celine Dionne duet accompanied by Kenny G and backed up by Nickelback would be worse.

John Bolton giving a speech to the United Nations would disrupt their bowels and have them vomiting up their own stomachs.

Let's see ... which of those would be the most torturous? I think the following would be pretty darned bad:

I don't know who David Gray is, so I'll have to leave him off. Now I can imagine Macy Gray being on there. *shudder*

I believe the torture had less to do with the content and more to do with the context. I read that these jukeboxs (meant for leisure) were spur of the moment torture techniques where the music was blared at near ear shattering volumes for sometimes 72 hours at a time. But it just didn't help that they might have played Neil Diamond's "Leave a Little Room for God". For the most part (I assume) they were probalay Singles (i.e. NIN's Closer, Spear's Hit Me Baby, Eminem's The Real Slim Shady, etc..)
