I just subjected my son to a pretty extensive diatribe about variety shows in the 70s, how many of them there were, and how much they sucked.
But I couldn't remember enough of them to sufficiently make my point, so I looked it up, and there were some I never knew about at all, including a Starland Vocal Band show that was co-written and hosted by David Letterman.
LOL, I didn't know you had a son.
Oh, yeah, but he's a grownup now, so I mostly ignore him.

But let me give you a list:
WKRP in Cincinatti (s)
Welcome Back Kotter
Laverne and Shirley
The Jeffersons
The Brady Bunch
All in the Family
Sandford and Son
Happy Days
Yep. I remember all of them to varying degrees. Somehow, I managed to completely miss the Brady Bunch. Like, I knew it existed and all, but I don't think I actually watched a whole episode of it until I was an adult.
(Another thing I was just thinking about was spinoffs, and I was meaning to look up how many Happy Days spinoffs there were. So I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and there were seven, including a couple I'd never heard of.)

Girl, Just how old are you??
Almost 56. I am exactly as old as Gilligan's Island!
Photographer's Note
One can hardly imagine what Seoul looked like in the years after the war. As specified in another posting I was in Korea as an officer in the Turkish Brigade in 1956-1957. There was a vast devastation and great poverty. These houses near the Han river Bank showed the immensity of this poverty , and people were suffering. It was December 1956, a very cold month and temperatures went down to a freezing -25'C . So it was no surprise to find out that the sewer water had frozen under the house. The Han river had also frozen, see the snow and the drying laundry.
The picture was taken with my Leica IIIf and a Kodachrome 64 film ( Sent to Hawaii lab for processing )in those years
My antizombie fingertips are tingling from the very idea of living in that potato-sorting station!

Reason: Because apparently we can't single Antti out on this, whatever
