Cop who shot and killed unarmed woman. Cop Who Killed Shantel Davis Accused of Past Aggressive Behavior - East Flatbush - DNAinfo.com New York
Cop who shot and killed unarmed woman, called a "neighborhood terror" by locals, strip searching local (black) kids for playing basketball. Had been sued 7 times in 10 years for abusive behavior costing the city (also known as the tax payers) over $130,000 in settled cases, and yet was still on the beat and carrying a gun.
Like some police answered a 911 hang up, and when they got there the mom said she taught her kids to not talk to police because they kill black kids.
Then there was this bit.
Quote:
As a prosecutor in Miami, Johnson worked with officers who’d used deadly force. He was assigned to represent them before grand juries and under questioning by fellow police.
One of the hardest parts of his job, he said, was breaking the news to the officer that the person he’d shot or injured had died at the hospital.
Seriously, the prosecutor acted as counsel for questioning and grand juries? It's not just that they were coached or had representation which many of their suspects do not, but the representation is a prosecutor.
Andrew Hawkins, a pro football player for the Cleveland Browns, walked onto the field for last Sunday's game wearing a shirt that read "Justice for Tamir Rice and John Crawford." Rice is the 12-year-old black kid a Cleveland cop killed for carrying a toy gun. (The cop gunned down Rice after assessing the situation for all of two seconds.) Crawford is the black man killed by cops in a Wal-Mart near Dayton for carrying a BB gun in the store. (Ohio's an open-carry state. Any ol' bloated, obnoxious white fuck could have carried a loaded AK-47 through the same store and gotten praised as a Second Amendment hero.)
"It's pretty pathetic when athletes think they know the law. They should stick to what they know best on the field. The Cleveland police protect and serve the browns stadium and the browns organization owes us an apology."
For real, man! Dumb fucking jocks, thinking it's illegal for police to shoot coloreds whenever they goddamn jolly well please! It is for to laugh!
Oh yeah, and the Cleveland cops who "protect and serve" during games at the stadium? Yeah, well, they're not doing it as cops; they're moonlighting. The police department lets them wear their uniforms, but they're working as private security guards and the Cleveland Browns pay their wages. Maybe the president of Cleveland's pig union should spend more time working out a better contract for the membership and less time spraying butthurt.

“I was taught that justice is a right that every American should have. Also justice should be the goal of every American. I think that’s what makes this country. To me, justice means the innocent should be found innocent. It means that those who do wrong should get their due punishment. Ultimately, it means fair treatment. So a call for justice shouldn’t offend or disrespect anybody. A call for justice shouldn’t warrant an apology.
“To clarify, I utterly respect and appreciate every police officer that protects and serves all of us with honesty, integrity and the right way. And I don’t think those kind of officers should be offended by what I did. My mom taught me my entire life to respect law enforcement. I have family, close friends that are incredible police officers and I tell them all the time how they are much braver than me for it. So my wearing a T-shirt wasn’t a stance against every police officer or every police department. My wearing the T-shirt was a stance against wrong individuals doing the wrong thing for the wrong reasons to innocent people.
“Unfortunately, my mom also taught me just as there are good police officers, there are some not-so-good police officers that would assume the worst of me without knowing anything about me for reasons I can’t control. She taught me to be careful and be on the lookout for those not-so-good police officers because they could potentially do me harm and most times without consequences. Those are the police officers that should be offended.
“Being a police officer takes bravery. And I understand that they’re put in difficult positions and have to make those snap decisions. As a football player, I know a little bit about snap decisions, obviously on an extremely lesser and non-comparative scale, because when a police officer makes a snap decision, it’s literally a matter of life and death. That’s hard a situation to be in. But if the wrong decision is made, based on pre-conceived notions or the wrong motives, I believe there should be consequence. Because without consequence, naturally the magnitude of the snap decisions is lessened, whether consciously or unconsciously.
“I’m not an activist, in any way, shape or form. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred I keep my opinions to myself on most matters. I worked extremely hard to build and keep my reputation especially here in Ohio, and by most accounts I’ve done a solid job of decently building a good name. Before I made the decision to wear the T-shirt, I understood I was putting that reputation in jeopardy to some of those people who wouldn’t necessarily agree with my perspective. I understood there was going to be backlash, and that scared me, honestly. But deep down I felt like it was the right thing to do. If I was to run away from what I felt in my soul was the right thing to do, that would make me a coward, and I can’t live with that. God wouldn’t be able to put me where I am today, as far as I’ve come in life, if I was a coward.
“As you well know, and it’s well documented, I have a 2-year-old little boy. The same 2-year-old little boy that everyone said was cute when I jokingly threw him out of the house earlier this year. That little boy is my entire world. And the No. 1 reason for me wearing the T-shirt was the thought of what happened to Tamir Rice happening to my little Austin scares the living hell out of me. And my heart was broken for the parents of Tamir and John Crawford knowing they had to live that nightmare of a reality.
“So, like I said, I made the conscious decision to wear the T-shirt. I felt like my heart was in the right place. I’m at peace with it and those that disagree with me, this is America, everyone has the right to their first amendment rights. Those who support me, I appreciate your support. But at the same time, support the causes and the people and the injustices that you feel strongly about. Stand up for them. Speak up for them. No matter what it is because that’s what America’s about and that’s what this country was founded on.”
He's a jock too! Surely he paid someone to write that for him. Just like he probably paid someone to write all his papers in college. Athletes, especially football players, can't be smart and articulate. It just ain't natural.

And more. This one doesn't need trigger warnings, at least.
And another one. Dude was fatally shot at close range, was mentally ill and probably harmless.

Dukes had been hit by a flashbang, a $50 device used by the police to disorient suspects, often during drug raids. First designed nearly 40 years ago to help military special forces rescue hostages, flashbangs create a stunningly bright burst of light and an ear-splitting boom that temporarily blind and deafen anyone standing within a few feet of them. Last week, French special forces used flashbangs as part of a dramatic operation to free hostages held at a kosher supermarket in Paris. But when these modified hand grenades explode on the human body, they can cause severe injury or death. The flash powder burns hotter than lava. Dukes suffered second-degree burns across her body. When later asked to describe the pain she felt that morning on a scale of one to 10, with 10 being the absolute greatest, Dukes said 100.
The military-style assault on the Laurel Park apartment the morning of July 21, 2010, did not uncover a violent criminal’s drug lair. Although Dukes’ boyfriend grabbed a handgun when the window shattered, he tossed it aside as soon as he realized that the intruders were police. He threw himself down on the ground and surrendered immediately. In the end, after storming the apartment and throwing three flashbangs, the police found about a tenth of an ounce of marijuana.
Such aggressive use of flashbangs has become common among today’s militarized police forces. The Clayton County police, who burned Dukes, deployed flashbangs on about 80 percent of their raids in the year prior to her injury, according to police records. Police argue that flashbangs save lives because they stun criminals who might otherwise shoot. But flashbangs have also severed hands and fingers, induced heart attacks, burned down homes and killed pets. A ProPublica investigation has found that at least 50 Americans, including police officers, have been seriously injured, maimed or killed by flashbangs since 2000. That is likely a fraction of the total since there are few records kept on flashbang deployment.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit wrote in 2000 that “police cannot automatically throw bombs into drug dealers’ houses, even if the bomb goes by the euphemism ‘flash-bang device.’” In practice, however, there are few checks on officers who want to use them. Once a police department registers its inventory with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, it is accountable only to itself for how it uses the stockpile. ProPublica’s review of flashbang injuries found no criminal convictions against police officers who injured citizens with the devices.

After Dukes filed a formal complaint, a Clayton County Police Department internal investigators wrote in their report that officers had done “nothing wrong” the morning of her injury. In fact, the team commander was promoted. Outraged by the inaction, Dukes filed a civil lawsuit against the police in July 2012, alleging excessive use of force. “No one has ever apologized,” Dukes said in an interview. “It’s not right to feel like you can just hurt someone, and it’s OK.”
SF Public defender arrested for 'interfering' with police harassing her clients without their attorney present.
What horrible crime must they have committed to be harassed by a group of officers and denied their right to an attorney? Why misdemeanor shoplifting of course. S.F. public defender detained outside court, office outraged - SFGate
Mentally disturbed young woman threatens police officer at police station with knife. He wrestles her to the ground but then there is an edit in the video and she is back on her feet, still uncuffed and (perhaps) still holding the knife or another knife?
Two other police officers then join in, and the woman is shot to death.
Yes you sir are absolutely Darren Wilson. I'm surprised he didn't post a picture of his rosy cheeks showing how she, while being possessed by a demon, hit him.
The story begins with somebody seeing a brown person walking on the sidewalk and being concerned enough to call 911. The cop goes and asks him for his papers. The 56 year old tourist from India - who is just going for a walk - has been in the US for a week, does not speak English and tries to avoid a confrontation that is probably pretty scary and culturally alien in any case. (White person English for this situation is "Go fuck yourself, pig.") In any case, this happens:
Quote:
Eventually, the two officers turn Patel around and have his hands behind his back. At one point, as another patrol car pulls up, Parker yanks his arm and slams him into the ground. Patel can not put out his hands to break his fall. He would require cervical fusion and remains in Huntsville Hospital with limited mobility in his limbs. His son as of Tuesday said his father could not move one leg at all.
And then eventually this happens:
Quote:
Parker was released on a $1,000 bond.
Yeah wow. One thousand dollars. At least he got fired, I guess. He can be a talk show personality or security consultant now.
Police union rep sends threatening letter to members of the SF city council over their non-binding resolution (which didn't even pass) stating the police are violent, have a poor record with people of color and need to tone it down. Only a few days later the photo of a CHP officer pointing his gun at unarmed protestors appeared.
It's clear the union expects to get favorable treatment for donating to people's campaigns. So yes a violent group of thugs who think everyone is out to get them is literally trying to buy government officials to look the other way. The same group who had a cordinated group of officers shake down people for illegal goods and sell them on the black market. So um yeah, what difference is there between the cops and the mob?
(answer, the mob will just knee cap you as a first warning, the cops will shoot you for looking at them wrong).
4 SF cops were cleared of any wrong doing after they unloaded 59 bullets at a latino man holding a tazer. Why, because they felt 'threatened' of course. Only 10 of the 59 shots hit their target. Protecting the neighborhood with 49 stray bullets.
DA Gascon not only didn't think this was reckless but stated “Given the circumstances, I’m not sure this was a preventable shooting.” “a shooting is likely to occur. It is lawful. It is clearly constitutional, and I’m not sure there is much that could have been done to prevent it.”
So apparently cop shootings are just like the weather, likely to happen, almost a natural event that we can do nothing to stop, and having their buddies join and panicking that's just in their nature.
