[consternation]smilie code[/consternation] or you can use the URL to an image in place of the smilie code as well.

I put that one there in memory of pescifish. That smiley got uploaded to the board where we first met. I immediately named it Chester. Years later, livius was kind enough to make that the smiley text here.

Re: Consternation waves
cep, check out the weirdness in wei's post here. I've checked and doesn't have a big canvas, so I'm not sure why it's off-center vertically and horizontally. The weirdness gets weirder a few posts later when it's quoted and the bottom of the sigh overlaps the quote box.

Re: Consternation waves
Weird indeed. I rustled a temporary copy of to try on my machine, and it looks okay on that! I guess I have different versions of Apache and PHP to the ones though.
One thing it might be is that my code divides the width and height of the smiley images by 2 when figuring out where to place them. I forgot to convert the resulting numbers to integers, so widths and heights that are odd numbers result in numbers that are integer-and-a-half.
I've put some intval() functions in the attached version. I already altered the path in this version to the one you're using, so I think to try it you just have to overwrite the existing consternation.php with the one here.
It won't affect existing posts unless you go back and edit them, but should make a difference, and hopefully fix the problem for new posts.

Thank you, cep. Take all the time you need, obviously. The waves wave perfectly 99.9% of the time.

Re: Consternation waves
The bug is down to having spaces in its file name.
is stored as http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/images/smilies/Sigh - ff.gif
Strange thing is, that on my test computer, where I've stored the rustled copy with exactly the same file name, it works perfectly - I think it might be something to do with magic quotes being enabled on
If we put the URL encoded file name for (spaces replaced by %20 ) inside consternation tags then I think it will work. Testing:
[consternation]Can't find image for: http://www.freethought-forum.com/forum/images/smilies/Sigh%20-%20ff.gif[/consternation]
I'll try to come up with a fix, but it may need a few attempts as I can't replicate the bug on my test computer.
