Re: The Gallery of Awesome
Kind of awesome. Definitely something I'd want to do.
Looks like a sculpture or CGI. Is not.

‘The knowledge of our elders’: India’s living root bridges submitted to Unesco | India | The Guardian
I saw a segment about this on a travel programme recently. Which of course I cannot remember the name of.
They are p. awesome. Parts of the state of Meghalaya are so mountainous and cut with ravines that they can't easily make roads or get bridge-building machinery and supplies in. So the locals have built bridges across the ravines out of the living roots of trees, and they strengthen with age and use.

Man who will probably die in a fireball…
Pulsejet engines work by pulsing as the name suggests and produce the most intense deep base sound, as can be seen by the vibrating camera!

One is flown at a (fairly) local to me model air show. I was in the crowd when this was filmed. I've flown models myself at this show many years ago - but nothing as fast or as loud as this contraption. No throttle - flat out or flame out. Loudest thing that flew all day - and that included several full-size displays. I'd love to fly one at my local club, but they are banned for normal club flying - most likely because they can be heard from over five miles away, and there aren't many flying sites in England that don't have surrounding houses much closer than that.
Same model fitted with a more conventional model jet turbine (at a meeting where pulse jets were banned). Actually faster, more fuel efficient, and much quieter - but drama factor reduced 10x.

Wow that thing’s fast, and the rev up of the pulsejet just makes it sound even faster!

Re: The Gallery of Awesome
Really cold morning, when the humidity in the air condenses out in low pressure regions. Reveals the wing tip vortices which are always there, but usually invisible. At times, there are also some nice visible vortices from the propeller tips which form a spiral cage around the plane fuselage. A cockpit view of those would have been good - it looks like the plane is flying down a mist-walled tube.
Pilot obviously very experienced and skilled to perform those tight final turns immediately followed by pinpoint accurate landings.
