My father-in-law took our two youngest boys (aged 4 and 6) to McDonalds on Wednesday night. When they got back he took them out of the car, walked them to the sidewalk, went back for his packages and was mugged by gunpoint.

When they got inside I called the police and apartment security. I had to leave a message with security because no one was answering the fucking phone. Not only did they not call back...they never showed. Luckily the police were there in 5 minutes.

There was nothing valuable in his wallet except his ID and SS card so he didn't lose any money. And security found his wallet on the ground early the next morning. But now we are certain that when our lease is up in 4 months that we HAVE to move. Joe bought two more guns and nobody leaves the apartment alone.

It is so infuriating. We had to move close to the hospital for Brett. It just sucks that most of the area around his hospital isn't safe. Looking for a house to rent now. I'm sick of apartments. Fucking Sick of them. Fucking Birmingham.

5 minutes response isn't that great, but I know from exerience that's about what we get out here 5 miles in the country. I consider the response quite rapid in all three cases the LEOs were called out to our place.

Be very careful about having loaded guns around your home, a six-year old boy shot himself in the face in Tulsa a few days ago, with a handgun he found in a bedroom.

It's kind of hard to "go about your everyday business" and "look to the future" when you have no idea the consequences of what is happening. I may not have my job in 6 months and my company may be gone or sold off but I should look to the future? WTF.

Yes I realize that there is less than a month until my husband is home "for good". What you don't probably realize is that he has already been gone over a damned year and at this point every extra day is just fucking annoying. Therefore I am entitled to have days where I still feel lonely or am sick and tired of being in a house alone. Don't tell me how I should be feeling when you've never been in my shoes. And yes, I know it's not a combat zone, and believe me for that I am thankful, but I still miss him damn it.

Fucking scheduling nightmares. Husband schedules work on my regular working day, then tells me a few days beforehand. After begging three people, I finally get some childcare arranged.
Now preschool calls and tells me they are canceling afternoon preschool.
Just when I had figured out the fucking schedule, now I have to call everyone all over again, only this time at 10 pm the night before
No wonder people become stay at home moms. This fucking country sucks ass.

Yeah, I can understand from a waitress or a cashier, I get that all the time. A coworker is just totally uncalled for though. Especially "babe", that one really irritates me.

Everytime we get bombarded with a virus via email attachment there is a COMPANY WIDE message that goes out in big bold bright red heading that tells you NOT TO OPEN THE FUCKING MESSAGE (paraphrased).

Yet I swear every god damn moron not only opens the message but executes the virus payload as well.

If you get an email message from a source you do not know, do not open it.
