Oh, I didn't need to see that.

It does deserve more than two minutes of hate.

Yeah, what she said. Not much to say about it beyond reciting a litany of revenge fantasies or something.

I think I figured it out.

It seems all weird that they were able to roll out such pointless and irrelevant new security restrictions in such a short amount of time unless they already had these things in place and ready to go.

So it's pretty obvious. The TSA has a predetermined progression, a series of increasingly more restrictive steps, already in place. So whenever there's any kind of 'incident,' no matter how hamhanded or ridiculous, it triggers the next step. So, bit by bit, like the apocryphal frog in boiling water, we'll become acclimated to increasingly ridiculous restrictions, until airline passengers are strapped to boards wearing Hannibal Lecter masks and just stacked up like cordwood in the cabin for the duration of their flights.

MARK MY WORDS. MARK THEM!

Pointless and irrelevant. Yup, that pretty much sums it up. TSA if out of control.

I know that if I were asked to walk through Michael Vick's shoes, I probably couldn't do. And most likely, that is because I am probably not in the top 5% of courageous heroes.
Yeah, that shit's ridiculous. He's getting an award because he's now doing what he's expected to do? I mean, seriously? He's literally getting an award for not maliciously abusing and destroying animals anymore.

Hell, give me that award, I don't maliciously abuse and destroy animals either. The fact that I never did that in the first place really shouldn't matter should it?

Errr, wait, hang on, doesn't that make me a better candidate? Especially since I'm getting by on a fucking FRACTION of the money he has and still not doing anything like that even though I'd probably make some cash doing it.

Same with all of you guys. We should all get an award!

So this guy gets a dog that some friend of his stole from a family's yard, keeps it for a little while, then decides to torture and kill it for, um, entertainment I guess, and he's all incredulous that he's going to be in jail over the weekend, even though he might get in trouble at work for that.

Romero was arrested six times in the past seven years by police in Montrose and Grand Junction on a variety of charges, including weapons offenses, traffic violations and drug distribution, according to court records. Five of the six arrests were in 2009. Romero was in Mesa County District Court on Thursday for a hearing on a drug and weapon-related case stemming from a Sept. 12 arrest at a local motel.

According to an arrest affidavit, Romero was contacted by Grand Junction Police Department officers in a room at Monument Inn, 1600 North Ave., and three baggies of methamphetamine were found in his possession. Officers also found a loaded, modified “short shotgun” in Romero’s vehicle and live shotgun shells in his jacket, the affidavit said.
Sounds like he's pretty fuzzy on the whole justice system thing.

Just pretty fuzzy all around, really. On the one hand, I kind of pity the guy for being so oblivious that he doesn't get what the big deal is. It's almost as though he must be retarded in some way or something.

On the other hand, developmental delays don't explain the compulsion to torture and kill for entertainment, so he's clearly got something wrong with him there, too.

It sort of makes me wish we could just coopt him for research purposes or something, to study and better understand his pathologies.

The thing about him having a family to support is scary as hell, too, as it implies that he might be some kind of authority figure/role model for some children or something.

Just a guess, but abuse as a child seems to be a common thread in such cases. If not abuse, then at least some sort of neglect.

I feel like a bad leftist for wishing physical harm on that man. Even though it's probably justified.

I figured out a way to think myself around that. When someone has done something horrifically cruel, I wish for them to be somehow reformed and see the error of their ways, and have to live with what they've done for the rest of their lives.

I realize it's not likely that anything like that would happen, because sociopaths don't usually get cured, but as revenge fantasies go, I highly recommend it.

Did you know that's the premise of Angel? He's a vampire who has his soul restored by a gypsy curse so he has to live with remorse for his hundreds of years of terrible acts. He decides to become a vampire hunter as reparations.

I don't know if this is worthy of hate, but I don't know where else to put it, excepting starting a thread.

Brit Hume: Tiger Woods must become Christian to be forgiven | Raw Story

Quote:
He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of redemption and forgiveness offered by the Christian faith. My message to Tiger is, 'Tiger turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.

Randomly saw this after clicking on a story in the TSA thread.

4 year old boy is punished at his pre-school for having shoulder-length hair.

Which he was planning to donate to Locks of Love for his aunt.

And strangely, there are comments saying that the parents are stupid or crazy.

Lawsuit accuses bank of seizing wrong house

Quote:
GALVESTON — A West End property owner is suing Bank of America Corp., asserting its agents mistakenly seized a vacation house he owns free and clear, then changed the locks and shut the power off, resulting in the smelly spoiling of about 75 pounds of salmon and halibut from an Alaska fishing trip and other damages.

...

“Based on previous discussions with Mr. Schroit, we do not believe the case will show merit,” spokesman Rick Simon said.
