River Gee County wins the "most likely to have been designed by a primary school competition" award.

I went with the purple one, because no one in their right mind makes a flag that color.

Is that because purple dyes are more vulnerable to fading from sun exposure, or because you just hate the color purple?

I don't hate it. I have a shirt that exact shade that I wore on Friday. But I've never seen a flag that color and it seems wrong to me.

It seems it is uncommon as a color in flags for various reasons (purple dye being expensive for a long time is a big part of it), but I think it can work.

I mean, that particular flag looks like ass, it looks like it was drawn by a 9-year-old in MS Paint. It's down there with the three trees and a river flag and the disembodied arm holding a log flag.

I would say that if DC becomes a state, maybe they could put purple in the flag. But then I remembered DC already has a great flag (better than the large majority of state flags):

In that it's just a single cylinder, it doesn't look like a bundle of sticks, there's no binding on it, etc. It's a log.
