Oh, I like Independence Day, but this will be another Emmerich monstrosity. That damn hack should no longer be allowed to make movies!

Also, this scares me:

Quote:
it’s likely Roland Emmerich will direct the Independance Day film after his latest film Anonymous about the life of William Shakespeare, delaying the Foundation start date even further.
Emmerich directing Asimov's Foundation? :hyperventilate: Why not just give it to Boll?

Best review of 2012:
Quote:
Emmerich doesn't try to avoid the classic disaster movie cliches. Nor does he try to put a creative spin on them. He simply grabs every single one of those cliches, and I mean every single disaster movie cliche you've ever seen, from Irwin Allen to his own Independence Day, and he wallows in them shamelessly. I don't mean that in the haughty literary way. I mean to use the word in the way mangy dogs understand it as they flop on their back--feet in the air, tongues lolling--and wallow in the freshly flattened carcass of some large rodent that found itself under a semi's wheels. That is how Emmerich wallows in 2012, twisting his hips, eyes glassy and wild, red rocket gleaming in the beautiful, pointlessly destructive asshole we know as the sun.

All about Steve - with Sandra Bullock

Good grief. I mean you don't expect much from movies like this, but seriously ... this has got to be one of the worst things ever made. Absolutely atrocious. :shudder:

Why did you watch it to begin with? :D

I am very selective about movies I watch. I do not have the patience to sit still for 2 hours unless I know it's going to be worthwhile and even sometimes then I get screwed out of ten bucks.

I can't get through The Spirit. It's on cable, a lot and whenever I'm channel surfing, I see it. I watch about five minutes and my brain forces my fingers to change the channel.

Oh this is where I should have posted about Aeon Flux. and I'm sorry, wearing a cat suit or not, Charilieze what ever her name is, looked awful in black hair. Her make up was bad too.

Aeon Flux did indeed suck, even with my painfully low expectations coming into it. I even want the time back I spent fast-forwarding at 30X through the last half of the movie.

I see vm needs to compare with the playboy photos. Here avoid the bad make up and hair and see her in her natural state.

It was almost like the people who made the Aeon Flux film had never heard of the cartoon. :shakeviacom: I should have never been live action. It should have been a silent film.

I too was not impressed with 300. Though I bet the real Spartans would have had a mangasm over the depictions of their super rendered muscle mass. Fucking tetosterone, how does it work?
