I get this guy who offers up a complaint about getting a CD instead of a book. He doesn't want the CD, he wants a book. Why do they say that it's a book & CD if they only send one? Y'know, I'm not sure...maybe that's all they had to send. They make the decision as to what to send, we don't have any say in it. Don't want it? Request it again, now that you have the one you don't want.

Oh...The department thinks this unsatisfied yokel should own this thing. I wonder why? He doesn't want to pay for it and is unsatisfied if it comes in any form other than the one he happens to want. It's called getting a medical education "on the cheap". It certainly instills faith the the knowledge and abilities of the typical students here....NOT.

That's the odd part: my teeth don't hurt at all. That's why I think I have another Stealth Abscess. The last time this happened, the bacteria crept down the root and killed the nerve as they went, so I became a swell guy without ever having a toothache.

I'm pretty sure it happened the same way, although this time the nerve was already dead. It feels like it probably came down the same way even though that tooth is capped. There might be a small crack I can't detect. So I bet I get referred from the dentist to an entodontist for oral surgery. Dentist will probably have to pop the cap first and I'll have to get a new one.

So, rather than spending my tax refund on something fun like credit card debt, a lot of it will probably go toward filling the dental insurance gap chasm. At least I sprung for the PPO rather than the HMO, which means I don't have to go to some dipshit who got licensed by a school operating out of somebody's basement. Still, oral surgery is for some reason not one of my favorite pastimes. :help:

So, the good news is, it's not an abscess like I thought.

The bad news is, I have no fucking idea what it is. Well, I have some hypochondriacalistic ideas, but I'm trying not to go there. The dentist is fairly certain it's not dental at all, based on my x-rays. He gave me some antibiotics to try (which I forgot this morning, goddamnit), then tomorrow I have my annual physical with my regular doc, so I'll take it up with him.

Oh, and the x-rays let me know that in the very first root canal I ever had done, the quack who did it never filled in the roots. He just cleaned them out and capped it off. WTF? It was over 20 years ago, so I have no way of suing anybody. Fuck those fucking fuckers.

Why didn't the cable company's customer service rep fucking tell me I no longer had their fucking home networking service when I asked for a technician to come out and check out the router's performance? Now I'm going to be billed for a service call which didn't amount to more than telling me "You need to buy a new router. Walmart has good prices on them." Shit, what the service call will cost would've paid for that new Belden Wireless-G+ router I ended up buying. Yes, it's faster than the six year old 802.11b, by nearly double (on the desktop in the bedroom, which is wireless), but the laptops are still about the same speed they were on the B, about 5Mbps download and 2.5Mbps upload.

The desktop in the bedroom, which was previously about the same download and upload speed as the laptops, however, hit 12.2Mbps on the first try and 5 on the upload, then 14.3 on the second download test. She-it, it's even faster than the desktop with the ethernet cable connection to the router. I'm still thinking I should've popped for the Wireless-N setup (about $200 for router, cards, and dongles). It's supposed to be really fast.

Eff. Eff eff eff eff eff. Eff. I have to go leafleting today to promote a meeting for the party. I love my party, don't get me wrong. I love leafleting in a way because I get to meet people and talk about things and I always get questions which I may or may not be able to answer but in the meantime I get to find out what people are thinking. I don't love going out there and doing it alone.

Because I am a smallish woman and afraid. People have in the past (election year, 2006) become a bit aggressive, physically. I have always had backup or a witness at least (I don't want to die alone, I don't want to get thumped alone). Today it's just me.

Eff. So now I feel like a little girl, rather than a woman who has experienced a lot more and survived a lot more than just being yelled at by Libertarians on the street so, really, wtf? But then I think about the spate of shootings and whatnot and I am not packing heat (yet), and blah and flah and blah.

Tire stores won't fix flat tires if the hole is in the side of the tire, they say it's because of a liability issue. I bet it's more about selling $100+ tires instead of $10 flat-fixing. They wouldn't fix it so I plugged it. And, by gawd, out West here in Oklahoma, when we plug something it stays plugged.

I pulled the tiny little nail out of it, then repaired the leak with a rubber plug from my Progressive Suspension motorcycle tire plugging kit. Worked like a champ, she no leak no more.

I am getting sick and tired of people telling me my nausea is probably related to something I am doing wrong. I'm not an idiot. I can read a book and follow suggestions which are mostly common sense and things I've always done anyway. Guess what? It doesn't help because I genuinely feel like puking most of the time.

Oh and don't tell me I have to limit my exercise because it shows how clearly you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. You are not my doctor.

And I know this is just the beginning of all the "helpful" suggestions. :rolleyes:
