It's pretty awesome, but it's a juggling trick - the only time the cubes become "solved" are when they "accidentally" drift off camera.

I saw it suggested that he was grabbing other cubes off on the left side of the video.

The actual world record for doing that is over 5 minutes, so doing it that fast would be shattering and then pulverizing that record.

The other way to fake the cube juggling trick would be to start with solved cubes and gradually mess them up by twisting as you catch/throw them - and then run the video backwards.
