It was on this day, two years ago, at 11:44 am, that one of our two fearless leaders, livius drusus, made her last appearance on our (mostly unlinked to) forum. :sadcheer:

I propose that this thrad be an annual Commemoration and Airing of Grievances thread in memory of our great leader livius drusus -- until she returns, we die of old age or they shut off the simulation we're in. :cartwheel:

To livius drusus! To her health! And her longevity! And overall livness! :livglomp:

Also, fuck the West Warwick police and their speed traps, making my insurance go up!

It won't take long to type most of the code up again, as I can remember what I've been doing, mostly. But there are probably some tricky bugs I fixed up that will re-emerge, and no doubt I'll introduce some new bugs second time around. :sigh:

Also I had a filling drop out last week :missing:

so phoned the dentist this morning who asked me to visit at 15:15. Arrived on time but then had to wait forty-five mins in the waiting room. The dentist then refilled the tooth, drilling without anaesthetic (but that's not my grievance because it didn't hurt). It took him at most five minutes to complete the job, but I was charged sixty-odd pounds for the privilege even though my dentist is supposed to be the subsidized-by-the-state socialist National Health Service type. :spend:

After a conf call on Friday of about an hour agreeing a set of actions and dates, my colleague who'd been compiling it (in PowerPoint because :shrug:

) said "I'll put that into a table". He then created a new presentation with a blank table in it, ready to copy the items over ... and saved this over the original file.

Not my grievance of course, but I'm still airing it. I didn't laugh, but I did make a lot of indirect references to it later on.

Maybe it was despair over not being able to determine the perfect way in which to commemorate your birthday that led her to abandon the FF!
