Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
All we can do now is get a nice bottle of (Italian) wine and watch the proceedings. I'm off to Croatia for a holiday in a week, where my stirling will now be worth far less. hopefully when I return, the political mess will have either resolved itself, or grown so terrible that it coalesces into a physical manifestation that we can stab with pointy things. If it forms around Boris Johnson, I will shed no tears.

Holy shit Richard Branson is making a whole lot of sense. Not 100% sure I agree with a second referendum (though I would really, really like one), but he makes so many good points about this whole cluster fuck.

Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
Well since the referendum is non-binding anyway, they can just ignore it. I have no idea what the parliment is like, but it seems like they should cram through a quick "No we really aren't leaving the EU" bill.

Re: Brexit EU referendum polling stations.
Most of the Tory party would never support such a bill, so it would stand no chance of passing. Even if it did, the electorate wouldn't stand for their vote being ignored by parliament and so UKIP would gain a lot of seats after the next General Election.

Well done Iceland! That's the way to show a country that thinks it's better than all the others!
Roy Hodgson is now the obvious choice for Brexit negotiator. He's currently unemployed and has experience of getting England out of Europe.

I do wonder how many Americans think electing Trump is the only way for America to escape the european union. Afterall Fox news did confuse it with the UN.

They're all blond...
Altho it seems that Wilders dyes his hair, and Trump has at least dyed his in the past (not sure what Trump's natural hair color is).
And interestingly, Boris Johnson has some Turkish heritage (and my understanding is that one worry was that Turkey would join the EU and then a bunch of Turks would immigrate) and Wilders is at least rumored to have Indonesian heritage...

Well, Wilders did warn us: if you let immigrant families from predominantly Muslim countries in, the first thing they want to do is change the laws to make the place more intolerant. I guess he knows what he is talking about.
