Yeah, I always forget the name of duck boots because my sister and I called them rubber uglies and it drove the real name from my mind. It took a lot of fumbling before I came up with the term and found them by searching for high heeled duck boots.

I didn't know whether to put this in the hipster thread or here or start a whole nother "I hate X" thread, but I don't hate, I just wouldn't wear these and don't like looking at them on others.
I have a thing for espadrilles, I cannot tell a lie, especially the ones with wedge heals that you tie up over the ankle. They've got to have that jute sole, though, or they just don't look right. The ones in the picture are rubber or whatever and they look like cheap knock-off Hush Puppies.
The ugly ones ES posted are what a friend of mine calls "boat shoes." She tells me she is filled with self-loathing for wearing them, but apparently they're super comfortable.
