We got about an inch of snow the night before last (pretty sure it's only the second notable snowfall this season) and the lake has a thin coat of ice on it. My zoom lens hasn't arrived yet so I didn't get a shot of the geese standing around on the lake yesterday, but rest assured such images will be forthcoming! In the meantime, behold the iphone photo.

Very cold, lightly snowing all morning. The lake is starting to freeze over, not sure if it will be for real this time or if another thaw will come before deep winter.

OMGGGG in Minnesota right now it is -15 degrees and a truck crashed and all of the potatoes it was hauling spilled out and are now frozen to the freeway so now nobody can drive on the frozen potato freeway

I have a shit shovel, repurposed from a snow shovel I got at a garage sale. It may never have been used to shovel snow, but it's just right for picking up shit with the help of a miniature hoe.

It never snows here, but it shits a lot.
