While I appreciate the fact that you want to make a good impression on your new employee/fellow manager/puppet, there are some problems that I have with your tactics:

1) EVERYONE in the restaurant knows that you shop at thrift stores and don't actually care how your fucking clothes fit, even if that means your tits and stomach morph into a single jiggly entity. I don't know why you chose to wear a new outfit when you're never going to wear it again. You're allergic to style and class;
2) Your new manager will eventually find out that you keep your swipe card in your large, sweaty bra. And it will gross her out as it has us all. For future reference, if you're going to keep there you may want to turn away from guests while retrieving it. SRSLY, bitch. It's disgusting;
3) You don't get along with very many people at work. That's your fault. You're a bitch. Don't act like we're all one happy family. It's disgusting;
4) Don't ever, EVER bring my personal family business up again in front of people that I do not fucking know. That just makes me want to release a jar of cockroaches in your office. You have been warned;

I have been in the same really bad mood for the last month or so (slightly less, but not by much). It just seems thing after fucking thing is getting on my nerves without thing one getting off (don't. Just Do Not) before thing two jumps on. I want a break, and was looking at the calendar to see when that break could be scheduled in, and it's not going to be this month.

So I was leaving work tonight and was pulling into the gas station around the corner...and I got pulled over by Roswell's Finest. I pulled to a gas pump and prepared for the worst. The reason I got pulled over..was because I left a closed business park. What? Since when was that illegal?

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!!!!! Some motherfucker stole my debit card information and has gone on a bit of a spree in California. So far, they've racked up over $500 in charges at various gas stations and grocery stores. Fuckers!

I've been on the phone with Chase and the run around is beginning. They have canceled the card. They promised an e-mail within 10 to 15 minutes so I can file a claim to get the money back in my account. That was over half an hour ago. So I called back, was promised the e-mail again and told this time that I will have to file two claims because six of the charges are still pending.

OK...fine. When can I expect the e-mail? Within 10 to 15 minutes. Really.

In the meantime, we can do the grocery shopping and things like that on a small credit card I have. We can write checks for bills until this mess is all straightened out. So, we're OK. It's just a helluva inconvenience and more than a bit of worry because we have no idea how the card information was stolen.

That happened to my husband too. It was an on-line Wallmart site in Santa Rosa.

I talked to the nice loan lady while I was getting a roof loan, and she said they sometimes use random numbers and see what happens or that one of the big companies had their information stolen. The tiny little credit union I go to had 30 cards compromised from the latter incident.

That totally sucks. A friend of my mom's had his card stolen and within 24 hours there was $300 of stuff from dollar stores on it. That's a lot of cheap crap.

Well, the one of the weird things about this is that all the bogus charges were made in California. That's why I'm so puzzled. How in the hell did someone in California get my information in a way that they could use it at gas stations and grocery stores? They didn't make internet purchases. I never lost my card. How did they do it? Did they make a fake card with a magnetic stripe? If so, how? And if so, how many other people have they done this to?

Do they still accept the cards with just the magnetic stripe in the USA? All our cards in the UK are the 'chip and PIN' type now - even those can be cloned but it's more difficult.

Hmmm. I don't know. I do know that my debit card can be used like a credit card so someone can sign instead of entering a pin number.

Yeah, they still use magnetic strips here. The LM's first debit card got cloned or something because someone was using it for brick and mortar stuff, too. The credit union came up with some weird kludged countermeasures and stuff, but it made his whole life just that much more of a PITA. I think it still is, too, but the last time I asked him about it, he just got limp all over and made a groaning sound.

Really, the best course of action at this point is to watch a mob hit or something so you can get into witness protection.

On an unrelated note, I would like to register a complaint that most people talk about nothing for no reason most of the time.
