Default Film game

I think we did this once before, but I'm too lazy to find the thread. :hammock:

Anyway the idea is that someone posts a short 'quote' from a film and someone else posts the title of the film it came from (or maybe identifies the actor that delivered it). And then the new poster sets the next challenge. You shouldn't really use google to help you, but that will be okay if someone sets a challenge that is too difficult.

And then we just keep going till we get bored with the idea. :yup:

The quote doesn't have to be words - it could be a still from the film or even a sound clip - we can mix it up a bit to try and keep it interesting.

So here's one to start us off:

Quote:
Hard boiled eggs and nuts!
Clue: it's from 1932, but you've almost certainly seen it.

Can we institute a Code of Honor rule? (i.e. no google?)

Quote:
There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, that meant your ass. I never gave much thought to what it meant. I just thought it was a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before I popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. See, now I'm thinkin': maybe it means you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could mean you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. And I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.

Well you had me wondering and second guessing, but after googling, it certainly seems like I'm not the only one who thinks it was in The Devil's Advocate.

But once you said The Usual Suspects, I knew 100% it was in that movie and only about 50% it was in TDA.

I had a suspicion and looked it up. If you don't want to know, don't look.

Well, I've looked at a couple of scripts online and I cannot find that line in The Devil's Advocate :chin:

And yet there are many other people out there that THINK it's in the movie - weird.

So I suggest Megatron just go again, sorry about that

Nah, we'll just keep rolling with the one you posted. I was just curious. (I don't have the answer though, and I'm not gonna google it)

OK, you're all being polite with each other and not coming up with another quote. So, what movie is this from:

"Give yourself over to absolute pleasure. Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh"
