Thank you!

She is my "joke" when I tease the Fairer Sex that there are no good female drummers.

There really are not. I had the pleasure to meet the Bangles' drummer--who drummed back stage while the eye candy pranced.

Coors? BWA!HA!HA!HA!HA!

So, if my opponent is savvy enough to know of Evelyn--recognized as one of the best drummers in the world--I can then "tease" that, "she does not count, she is deaf."

If you check out her webpage, she does ask that her condition not be highlighted. She is not a "dog who does tricks," she is a premier musician.

She also puts her "money where her mouth is." She does a lot of lectures and work without fanfare. When a university that granted her an honorary--"honourary?"--degree closed its music department, she not only returned it, she encouraged others to do the same AND made a stink about it.

Let me see if this works. . . .

I'm ashamed to admit that my first reaction when I heard the first piece was actually "Wait. The chick is the drummer?!" My gender is deeply disappointed in me. :sadno:

Now that I see the YouTube as a blonde, though, I recognize her! I saw her on 60 Minutes a hundred or so years ago, and she rocked Mike Wallace's wrinkles off.

You would, normally, be correct to have low expectations for your gender. . . .

Now get me a beer.

I'm the only thing that dies!
If it came down to your life or mine
I would do the stupid thing...
And let you keep on living"
