I don't know about this singing, but my pots make a sort of rising single note at they approach boiling. I've only noticed it when it's water, though.

That's the song. I think it's a Philip Glass composition.

Oh, and also, and this is a very weird thing I can't really explain, the stainless rinses much faster. With the non-stick I had to rinse a pot four or five times before there were no more soap bubbles. The All-Clad rinses clean in no more than two passes. You'd think the non-stick would reject soapy water as it does everything else, but nope.

Hey, Liv! Did you know that Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma outlet stores have the full line of All-clad? It was 40% off whenI was there today.

I do know. That's where I got my set, in fact. I keep an eye on the WS website for deals so I can expand my collection. I'm quite happy with what I have at the moment. The only thing on the list now is the one non-stick 12" skillet.

Holy crap. I never realized that stainless pans could be seasoned to make them non-stick.
I have a mix of stainless, cast iron, non-stick, and even glass pots and pans but I've been moving more to using cast iron. I only have one non-stick pan that ever get used anymore and rarely. That and my wok, which has a nonstick coating.
I'm going to have to try seasoning my stainless skillets.
