Pesto came out great. There was a booth at the Farmer's Market that cut the basil off a living plant to order. The only way it could have been fresher is if I'd bought it on the way home instead of the way too work. I did open-face pesto and tomato sandwiches on
Saskatoon Prairie Bread and open-faced artichoke and pesto on the best sesame bread I've ever tasted, also from Crust. I dropped the savory palmiers because I had too much food.
I had another tomato and pesto sandwich on the bread last night and it was heaven. Makes me wish I didn't have leftover Chinese that needed to be eaten so I could have it for dinner every night this week.
