Re: Miscellany
I use Amazon wish lists both privately (so we can batch orders for supersaver shipping, and also I forget about books and stuff and use it as a reading list) and publicly for Kiddo as people all over the fucking world ask me "What can I buy for Kiddo? What does Kiddo want for Christmas?" all the time
Anyhoo, they have this Firefox add on that allows you to put anything, from any shopping type website, on your Amazon "Universal Wishlist". Pretty cool just by itself right? Even better, every time you add something from someplace else this holiday season you are entered into a drawing for a shitload of shopping spree courtesy of MasterCard.
So, I am now working my way through Kiddo's crayon circled wants in the Target and Toys R Us ads and shit like that.
Hope I win! Also, it's kind of a neat tool just for those who delay gratification by making lists instead of buying right now.

Re: Miscellany
I use mine for gifts as well. When I read a review of a book that I know one of my friends would love I put it in my own wish list so I don't forget when their birthdays arrive.

Yeah, he's on there. I never said Conan was funny.

Re: Miscellany
What Null said, except for the "Enough said" part.
So last night, Matlock wakes up in the middle of the night to powder his nose or something, which results in like all 45 dogs* getting up and running around demanding breakfast and walks and things, so I get up to say, "Hey, you dogs," except I can only make weird squeaky noises instead, and also I can't breathe. And my foot hurts and I am holding my sock.
So then, I can't get back to sleep, so I do my 'can't get back to sleep' thing, which is to bring my pillow into the living room and turn on the TV to some Law & Order, because it's boring and I've seen most of them already so I can usually fall back asleep, except there wasn't any actually on TV so I had to stream some SVU offa Netflix, and then I have a dream that there's a really weird episode that I have never seen before, so I wake up for some reason, like I want to watch it or summat, realize it's all just a crazy dream, and then do that again two more times. Then I have a dream that Matlock is already awake so I can go back to bed without bothering him, so I do and then I discover that THIS TOO WAS ALL JUST A CRAZY DREAM and it's like 20 minutes before he gets up but whatever.
Then, I have another stupid, too close to the surface dream, where I am looking for a receipt for something, and I wake up thinking, "No, I have to go back there and find that receipt!" but then I get just awake enough to be all like, "lol I don't have to go back to Sleepytown or whatever to find a receipt that doesn't even exist!" so I just get up instead.
So I'm tired and I can't breathe very good, and I'm all confused and shit from all the stupid and boring dreams and not knowing the difference between those and real life.
POOR ME!
* Two, whatever.

Re: Miscellany
I think I just saw an ad for law & Order: UK. Seriously, on my on demand preview.
Stupid on demand takes like 15 minutes to boot up. Comcast is a terrible service provider.
