Default Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

These things are old faithfuls around here, always a treat, we always love 'em but I just recently found the best recipe yet. Last batch is cooking in the oven as we speak, and I just finished consuming a rather lovely one, the air smells all nice, etc, so felt the urge to share.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

1 cup mashed bananas
1 cup sugar
1/4 vegetable oil
1/2 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

add:

desired amount of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine wet ingredients. Combine dry ingredients in a different bowl. Combine them together, don't mix too much.

One batch makes twelve muffins.

Pour into greased muffin tins, cook at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

*I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Its really, really yummy with whole wheat flour.

Apart from the banana, that sounds good. Would it be possible to use orange or lemon instead? I am not terribly keen on banana :D
