Default The Natural Order

From Wikipedia...

In philosophy, the natural order is the moral source from which natural law seeks to derive its authority. It encompasses the natural relations of beings to one another, in the absence of law, which natural law attempts to reinforce. This is related to Dharma.

In contrast, divine law seeks authority from God, and positive law seeks authority from government.

The term is used by Hans-Hermann Hoppe in his book Democracy: The God That Failed: The Economics and Politics of Monarchy, Democracy, and Natural Order to defend anarcho-capitalism.

The term is used by Friedrich Hayek in his writings.

I am an advocate of free enterprise and free trade. I have read everything Ayn Rand wrote and subscribed to her newsletter.

In keeping with my usual custom of speaking from my own experience, here is an example of how I lived according to an anarcho-capitalist philosophy of free enterprise and free trade.

Shortly after I got out of the Navy and after spending two years living in Boston, I returned to Albany and set up a business of selling hot sandwiches from a push cart at Capital Park. There were many different State office buildings surrounding Capital Park and the State workers would go outside for lunch. There were many different food vendors beside myself around the perimeter of the Park, We served lunch from 11 AM to 2PM.

During those three hours I cleared $150 each day. This was my profit. I was able to work from May until October. I saved my money and I saved enough each summer so that I didn't have to work during the off-season From November until April. I did this for four years until the Board of Heath stopped giving me a license saying that only their friends get licenses. I thought there was something wrong with this but I didn't feel like fighting it. Albany had a very powerful Democratic Party and they practiced a heavy patronage.

That was the end of my business and my experience with free enterprise

When I think of Jazz singers who appreciated "The Natural Order", I always think of Billie Holiday and Anita O'Day. Neither one cared to much for Government laws. I consider both to be very free individuals.

Anita O'Day was featured in the previous post. So in this post I will feature Billie Holiday...

You, your experience, anarcho-capitalism, free enterprise and free trade are not natural.

I do not believe you, but note that bullshitting is entirely natural for you. I know that from personal experience, which renders my conclusion unassailable.

Neither Billie Holiday nor Anita O'Day were natural. Just look at all that artificial adornment.

One small addition, bobsavegan is not natural. He's about as fake as you can get.

This is The College of Musical Knowledge. I'm going to ask a question to see how much experience you have.

What is an American Jazz Song written by Cole Porter in 1930 that sings about the World's Oldest Profession?

Now you have exactly 10 minutes to answer.

Time is up!

Here's the song...

•(of a skill, quality, or ability) coming instinctively to a person; innate.
"writing appears to demand muscular movements that are not natural to children"

hereditary, inherited, inbred, congenital, connate

"his natural instincts"

antonyms: acquired

•(of a person or their behavior) relaxed and unaffected; spontaneous.

synonyms: unaffected, spontaneous, uninhibited, relaxed, unselfconscious, genuine, open, artless, guileless, ingenuous, unpretentious, without airs

The more I read this definition, the more I like it.

Anybody have any issues or concerns with it?
