Through with oligarchy? Ready to get the money out of politics? Want real progressives in office who will work for the people and not the donors? Want to help grow The Squad?
This has probably already been posted (possibly even by me) but that lame "argument" in the other thread makes me keep wanting to watch this:
The video was shot on a camera that he had attached to his uniform, like the dashboard cameras on police cars. You can tell at 2:22 when he pulls it off his chest and starts pointing it around manually.
Denver and neighboring Aurora are facing lawsuits from people whose SERVICE DOGS were banned from the cities, and now the Americans with Disabilities Act has been modified to explicitly disallow cities from banning service dogs based on their breed or perceived breed.
The article is a bit old. We won with a slightly higher percent when the count was complete. It means my job is safe for at least the next 12 years. It also passed by an even higher margin than our last millage request, despite the economy and the increase we requested. We're all thrilled.

Then Zito performed the marriage, with Asteak as best man and a courtroom full of witnesses. Asteak claimed Assistant District Attorney Michele Kluk was maid of honor.
"I was not the maid of honor. I was the prosecutor," Kluk said
Apparently, a passenger was attempting to get his his luggage out of the overhead compartment while the plane was still in motion and, when the attendant tried to stop him, he called him a motherfucker and either struck him with the luggage or dropped it on his head. The attendant proceeded to quit in a blaze of glory.
Quote:
“He said, ‘to the passenger who called me a (expletive expletive, expletive) you. I’ve been in this business 28 years. And that’s it, I’m done’,” Catelinet said.
...
Airport authorities said at the gate, Slater grabbed two beers, deployed the emergency slide, and then took off.
I can't find any confirmation on whether or not he actually used the emergency slide to exit the plane, but either way, this man is my new hero.
(There's some other weirdness in the article, in that it claims Catelinet is 38, so by his own words he would have been in the business since he was 10. I'm guessing there's a typo and he's actually 48.)

Fearmongering: If you suspect it, report it.

Assessment
1. Upheld
The ASA noted that the ad described a man who always paid with cash, did not speak to his neighbours and kept his curtains closed during the day. We noted that description was based on behavioural trends identified by the police, and that the ad suggested that, when taken together, those behaviours could be grounds for suspicion.
However, we considered that the ad could also describe the behaviour of a number of law-abiding people within a community and we considered that some listeners, who might identify with the behaviours referred to in the ad, could find the implication that their behaviour was suspicious, offensive. We also considered that some listeners might be offended by the suggestion that they report members of their community for acting in the way described. We therefore concluded that the ad could cause serious offence.
On this point the ad breached CAP (Broadcast) Radio Advertising Standards Code section 2 rule 9 (Good taste, decency and offence to public feeling).
I didn't even know Parade magazine still existed, but they do, and they're doing a cover story on the Vick dogs for their Sunday issue! And they have a slideshow!
