Obviously this could go in the Web Comics thrad, but it's so damned awesome I put it here. Panel from here.

Of course, the fact is that the claims about the AV system aren't true - it's not going to lead to 3rd party candidates winning all that much more than they already do.
Those seats that are competitive between two parties will probably remain between those same two parties.
However - it is better than a first past the post system, so I would still vote for it. It's just not going to lead to a 3rd party renaissance or anything like that.

Never played either Portal game, but spoiled myself by finding everything I can on the Web. Here's a nice song that's played at the end, but no spoilers...unless you understand Italian. It's even safe to watch, as the image is completely spoiler free.
Hey liv, I've got the lyrics and supposed translation under a spoiler tag. They look good to you?
Italian:
Cara, bel, cara mia, bella bambina, oh Chell, que lastima, que lastima, deh! Cara mia, addio.
Mia bambina, cara, perchč non passi lontana, deh sė lontana da scienza? Cara, cara mia bambina, ah mia bel, ah mia cara, la mia cara, la mia bamina, oh cara, cara mia…
English:
Darling dear, my darling beauty! My baby girl, oh heavens! That's all, That's all Oh my darling, goodbye! My dear baby girl, Why do you not walk far away? Yes, far away from Science, My dear, my dear baby girl? Ah, my beauty! Ah, my dear! Ah, my dear! Ah, my baby girl! Oh dear, my dear...
That is... interesting. "Chell" should be "ciel" which is a shortened form of "cielo" meaning "sky" or heaven" but that's translated correctly. "Que lastėma" is actually Spanish, not Italian. It means "what a shame" so the translation should read "oh heavens, what a shame, what a shame."
Other than that, the lyrics and translation are both correct. What the hell is the walking far away from science bit about?
I've got the rundown, I'll hide it in a spoiler for those who would remain untainted.
Portal begins with the protagonist, Chell, trapped in a mammoth laboratory of Aperture Science. She is subjected to many tests, by a sentient AI called GLADOS. GLADOS is cruel, sadistic, funny and most likely psychotic. The tests involve death traps that the Chell must escape using a gun which projects portals.
By the end of Portal 2, you learn that GLADOS contains the digitized personality of Caroline, the secretary to Cave Johnson, founder of Aperture Science (who is likely also insane, but awesomely funny). Caroline was downloaded into GLADOS against her will (I'm guessing the process killed her). Now Caroline/GLADOS and Chell have a love/hate relationship, at the end of which GLADOS decides to stop trying to kill Chell (since she is too tenacious to die) and releases her. As she escapes the lab, the opera is played for her by GLADOS.
The current theory is that Caroline is Chell's mother, there's a lot of stuff to support that theory and I love it. This opera is Caroline/GLADOS' lovesong to Chell, telling her to leave science behind (GLADOS often uses "Science!" as justification for her cruel and lunatic tests).
I've not played the game, just did a butt-ton of research on the Web for this stuff. It's a great storyline and I can see why Valve is such a respected player in the gaming business.
