Hey Lamar Smith! You can definitely, definitely STFU now.

http://blog.hotwhopper.com/2016/03/r...peratures.html

It's a long story, no warming since 1998, House Science Committee, demanding emails from scientists, buoys, satellites are the gold standard yada yada yada but he's just had the stool kicked out from under him, so he can definitely, definitely just shut the fuck up now.

:^: Almost forgot. Ted Cruz can shut the fuck up too.

Ted Cruz says satellite data show the globe isn’t warming. This satellite scientist feels otherwise - The Washington Post

Quote:
My view actually is simple. Debates on this should follow science and should follow data. And many of the alarmists on global warming, they’ve got a problem cause the science doesn’t back them up. And in particular, satellite data demonstrate for the last 17 years, there’s been zero warming. None whatsoever. It’s why — you remember how it used to be called ‘global warming’ and then magically the theory changed to ‘climate change’? The reason is it wasn’t warming, but the computer models still say it is, except the satellites show it’s not.

“Global warming is now in overdrive”: We just hit a terrible climate milestone | Grist

2°C warming is already a reality, in other words. I’m having a difficult time seeing how we recover from this. Seems like it’s already too late to stop catastrophic warming.

Arctic sea ice has never been this scarce at this time of year. You can see any year you like on the Charctic site. The anomaly values are large. Tamino has a nice analysis.

Hottest global July in the instrumental record. Heck, hottest month ever in the instrumental record.

On the flip side, the arctic ice seems to be tracing along at a mere 2 SD below the 1981 to 2010 average. This is fairly normal for the past decade or so, so that's much better than ermuhgerd.

Strange how all the warming is simply adjustments to the data.

Scientism, when the observations don't fit the hypothesis, change the data!!

I wish to live in Jerome's world. One where a global conspiracy of some of the smartest people publish their actual data exposing their fraud and just hope no one notices.

So, what place in science is the hiding of data?

Should not the conclusions be able to be replicated?

How can this be done when the data is hidden?

Climate change denier who says no one can explain global warming gets completely schooled by someone explaining it | indy100

`From the linkLorrie Goldstein, who writes for the daily tabloid the Toronto Sun in Canada, thought it would be a wise move to challenge the science behind climate change and global warming on Twitter of all places. In a tweet posted last week, Goldstein said: "Next time a Social Justice Warrior tells you “science is settled” on global warming, ask them to explain the science. Then watch the fun."

Toronto based writer, and social media hero, Karen Geier told Goldstein in no uncertain terms exactly how climate change has happened, is happening and the dangers it poses.

Omg guys here comes that Social Justice Warrior again. Ugh, what PC thing do they want this time? Something about not choking ourselves to death on pollution destroying the entire human race. Ugh that's so PC, can't they just let us destroy humanity in peace?

Like seriously I bet the person who discovers a doomsday asteroid will be called a Social Justice Warrior. Afterall, not all the science is in, large impacts are natural and who knows maybe it's good for the earth!
