After months of losing weight just dieting (calorie counting and limited carbs) daily walking, and occasional bike riding, I started to stall out at 180-179lbs.
So I went and got a membership at the Y, it's the closest gym to my house and is on my drive to work and back.
I also haven't been closely tracking my fat or muscle mass since my electronic scale isn't super accurate for that. But this morning I was at 177lbs and 17.7% body fat! So far I've dropped over 20lbs, 5% body fat, 3% visceral fat and gained 3% muscle mass! Now that I'm back in the gym and adding weight training to the mix I'm going to concentrate less on pounds and more on fat vs muscle. I still would like to get in the low 170's but 175 at <15%BF is a better goal than 170 at >15%BF.

I hit my goal for New Years and then some.
I'm now down to 170 and hitting the gym everyday.

Ice cream, as wonderful as it is, really isn't a balanced diet.

I'm getting back on track after a solid two weeks of emotional eating. So far, so good.

Having been diagnosed with Polygenic Hyperlipidemia (i produce too much cholesterol) and switching to a low fat diet i have gone from 97kg to 85.8kg in 4 months. Although weight loss was never the aim, i am enjoying looking a bit more trim. Surf season is here so my the amount of excercise i do will now increase and i'm hoping to be the fittest ive been in years, within a few months. :surfing:

I do miss bacon though.:bacon:

And cheese.:lovecheese:
