If a woman has no reason to stay on the sinking ship, then she should displace any man in the lifeboats except for one who is assigned it's safety and control.

That is not clearing up, that is very strange backpedalling that assumes that we are concerned with lifeboat-management, not misogyny. Also LOL that it is automatically a man who looks after the safety and control of the lifeboat.

I think it a man's duty to him family to be to put those ahead of himself. That would include the families of other men and other men, doing the same, would insure that all the men there put family ahead of themselves.

We are well aware of your personal biases. But the real question is: why do you feel it right to force women to act according to your personal bias?

Again, you already made us well aware of your biases. It is a simple repetition of the ancient way that men have always justified paternalism: by reducing questions of equality to something not unlike biological determinism. The privileged position of males is explained as being the biological or essential function of males. Men are there to protect their women and their families. From other males, mostly, but this problem is never really considered. And this explains why they should get to make all the decisions.

This handily evades the question if it is right that males have a privileged position where decision-making is concerned, or of this even makes sure the best decisions get made.

Incidentally, if it is a males first moral priority to look after his family, then it is his moral imperative to kick someone else's wife and kids off the boat.
