Why does Stupak seem like a good name for a republican PAC?

"so-called Stupak amendment, a measure that prohibits federal funds from being used to buy health insurance that covers elective abortions."

I wonder how many of the insured took advantage of this particular benefit?

They canceled it today, saying "They didn't know about it". In 18 years, nobody read his/her policy?

The memo said the RNC health insurance policy has been in review for some time.
Now I am just a person, not a committee, but I can review my policy in 1/2 hour. It takes a special kind of stupid to miss important points for almost 2 decades. WTF?

In 18 years, nobody's had an abortion? :skeptical:

This whole debate is giving me headaches.

I keep hearing the argument that taxpayers shouldn't have to fund things they disagree with or find "abhorrent to their faiths" (as one opinionist put it).

It's unamerican to be against wars. Nation, this is just a pretty pony show. A lot of flash about nothing. The status quo, as they have been calling it, is that the federal government isn't paying for elective abortion. Which, I reckon, I'm okay with. What the RNC does with its money from its people is its business. That they are, just now, getting all in a tizzy over this is laughable. For all the "damage" it would cause they could have just ignored anyone asking questions. Seriously, where are the extremists who would "punish" them (by not voting for them) going to go?

It makes no difference, the RNC will just go back to paying for their mistress' and daughter's abortions out of pocket, just like they used to.

Smoke and mirrors.

Part of me doesn't care if abortions aren't funded by insurance and so on, because then those providers won't have to hassle with billing and can maybe make abortions cheaper.
Free market for the win!
