Fake news:
This is completely untrue and fabricated by the media. There is no such ban. But of course it fits the (now international) bullshit about a 'War on Christmas'.

Re: News Miscellany
Sorry, media, Exxon CEO is Trump's worst possible nominee for climate and America
Quote:
Three essential facts have been missed or downplayed by the mainstream media:
The lies of ExxonMobil are unique in the annals of climate and corporate history (see here and below).
ExxonMobil is the only major fossil fuel company whose future is inextricably tied to Putin, to ending sanctions on Russia that “put Exxon at risk” (to quote the Wall Street Journal), and to continued, warming-driven melt of Arctic ice.
Tillerson personally negotiated with Putin a monster $500 billion deal for Arctic drilling that was “expected to change the historical trajectory of Russia,” before sanctions killed the deal. His rise as Exxon’s ‘Russia czar’ coincides with Putin’s own rise as the leader of Russia. Tillerson is so wedded to Putin, the Guardian just reported, that he “is the long-time director of a US-Russian oil firm based in the tax haven of the Bahamas”!

Yeah but I'm sure Hillary gave a speech to Exxon mobile once, which is objectively worse.

Not sure I follow you here. Giving speeches to some execs (and actually not at ExxonMobil), even for big huge money, is not the same thing as putting Exxon's head asshat exec in charge of the United States Department of State, while filling the rest of the cabinet with nominees who in each instance is publicly inimical to the department they will be chairing. It is a blatant effort to dismantle the executive branch and de-regulate every progressive reform made since Theodore Roosevelt.
A pre-election look at Clinton's potential cabinet looks like another planet compared to Drumpf's billionaire's club.
It is literally, figuratively, subjectively, objectively, and absolutely worse.

Re: News Miscellany
It was completely sarcastic. Given the bitching about hillary giving talks to bankers only to have Trump put bankers in his cabinet.

I really feel we're about to experience the same privatization of natural resources by harnessing the power of banking to serve the already wealthy that Russia experienced post Yeltsin at the hands of Putin and company. Extracto-exxploitigarchs all up in hyere, yo!
Like, whatever would've happened under Clinton times ten.

Re: News Miscellany
It turns out this is one of the many terrorists who left his ID at the crime scene.
Oh, meant to post that in the Berlin attack thread.
