Simon, the giant rabbit callously slain by United Airlines. First they brutally assaulted a 69 year old doctor. Now they have killed a rabbit. Who is next? Are any of us safe from the uncaring corporate thugs at United Airlines? Mr. Pea, what are you doing about this tragedy.

In Memorium

Simon the Giant Rabbit

1. Kamilah's post linked to Faux News. So that didn't count.

2. The picture she posted showed Simon's father. So that didn't count either.

3. Technically speaking, Simon wasn't a famous person and he wasn't even famous until after he died.

4. I don't believe everything Mr. Pea posts.

5. I am just doing my due diligence.

Lola's Story: A Story of Slavery in Modern America - The Atlantic
Interesting story. The author's family immigrated to the US from the Philippines and brought their domestic slave with them.

(The author also just died in the past week.)

This latest ReCaptcha iteration is gaslighting me.

Is anyone else having to prove they're human over and over and over again? I swear, it's challenging me half the time. Some of those tests are really hard, and I resent being forced to participate in their data gathering.

I was angry at first, but I'm starting to be a little bit scared now too. Am I human?

Of the two main services that do home delivery across multiple restaurants in our area, one of them has started requiring (re)cap(tcha)s even when you log in with a username and password. This is pointless and offensive and I've told them so, and I only use the other one.

As a human myself, I have determined that you are indeed human, and we are fellow humans being human together, as humans are prone to do.

Plenty to criticize about this story also, to be clear.

The slaveowner is the one writing, and he doesn't properly reckon with his responsibility or what sort of reparations he and his family should have made.

I'm holding this as evidence that we are indeed in the Brightest Timeline. (Contrary to current events.)

Quote:
Instead of solving a murder, the Golden Girls “Clue” will see players trying to figure out who ate the last piece of cheesecake, and what incriminating item they left behind while doing so. (Yes, really.)

Nostalgia for the great Golden Girls has never been higher, as evidenced by plans for their “Clue” game, as well as a similarly-themed “Monopoly” edition due out later this summer. For “Clue,” you can play as Rose, Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche, or two “mystery men,” and the item tokens replacing our well-known candlestick, revolver, knife etc. are as follows:

That’s “a can of hairspray, a bathrobe, Sophia’s purse, a lipstick, a chair, and a high heel.” I love “Clue,” but it’s been a while since I’ve played. This seems like a fun game to have around for parties—and I think many of us know someone who would love this as a present. What do you think? Is this pop culture nostalgia gone too far, or just right?

That's just ridiculous. Who moves an armchair into a different room just to eat a piece of cheesecake?
