It's been raining all day here, 65 F, flood warnings, flash flood warnings, etc.

I ALWAYS have loved a good thunderstorm!
The more the wind kicks up, the happier I get!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Unitarians are so damn accommodating. They don't care what you believe. I've also come to dislike the atheist meetups and even the humanist association here because of their in-your-face brand of atheism. I'm not going to do what they did on National Prayer Day, man a booth that has a banner that says, "Nothing Fails Like Prayer." Nah-gah-duit.
I'm more of a live-and-let-live kind of guy, I believe everyone should let the deluded have their beliefs, their dogma. At this particular Unitarian church, I've been told to be prepared to defend my beliefs (or non-beliefs), but that human beings should be able to discuss what they believe (or don't believe) without being judgmental. I like that in these Unitarians.
As it is, I have no friends other than online friends, and haven't for many many years. I feel a bit guilty to admit that you guys here at are just not enough. I need more. I'm needy like that.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
Here the humidity level is up, the clouds are a thick overcast, it's blustery with wind gusts, and the temps are in the upper 40º F range...maybe lower 50s.
It required a coat today.
The puddles are empty, though.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
It's only supposed to get to 90 today, which while that is still hotter than hot, it's better than 100 and the humidity level is down too.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
Yesterday was the most beautiful day we've had in a long time. Upper seventies, sunny, breezy, very low humidity.
I wish it was like that everyday.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
It rained just enough yesterday to make the evening downright lovely. The temperature and humidity dropped and it was actually pleasant to be outside.
So, of course, I spent the whole evening inside. I suppose I could have mowed the lawn or something.
Yeah, right.

If it promises to specifically target and wipe out every single cottonwood within a 200 mile radius, I approve of the coming heat.

Naw, it's not like I'm putting it off for a hotter day; I'm just allowing it to overgrow until the next visit from our Friendly Neighborhood Lawn Guy. I only pay him to come out twice a month, and merely thought idly that it'd be nice to cut the lawn on an off week. It was a passing whimsy.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
Arena points for the week accrue after Tuesday maintenance, so I'd already taken care of that Monday night.
... and it was 338 this week, thanks to my successful harassment of the 5v5 team to make sure I got in on the matches.

Re: Turn up the heat, baby!
Today it's supposed to be 91 F and windy here; couple that with 115% humidity because of a couple feet of rain recently, the Feels-Like Index should be somewhat the equivalent of a BBQ Smoker.
