Re: FF Student Lounge
My finals are this coming Monday and Tuesday. Monday's are back to back in the same room even. That, after a scare that they were scheduled simultaneously.
Got my easier one first, Control Systems Design, followed by EM Fields II. Microcomputer Systems is the Tuesday exam. I'm so ready for that last one to be over with already.

I may just pass this microcomputers class ... with only having learned a little bit of C.

Re: FF Student Lounge
I got my GAMSAT results.
Section I Reasoning in Humanities & Social Sciences: 69
Section II Written Communication: 62
Section III Reasoning in Biological & Physical Sciences 63
GAMSAT Overall Score: 64
Most med schools in Australia have a GAMSAT score of 50-60 as a minimum. Only two have higher, Sydney Uni and University of Queensland. They both required scores of 63 to start in 2010. If that stays the same then I start med school next January, if they rise then I'm working for a year and sitting it again next March.
On the upside I was better than 88% of the people who sat the test.
Did I mention that it was the hardest test I have ever done in my life?

Re: FF Student Lounge
I honestly wasn't sure if I got a C or an A on my Govt. final. I thought I had done okay but not great, but feared that I hadn't done as good as I thought since I did all the reading the day before the test. Turns out I got the highest score in the class.

Re: FF Student Lounge
I was stupid this semester.
I gotta do some work over the summer because of it.
But otherwise I did pretty well, A, A-, B. The B was in a lit class, which is only required because my linguistics program is within the English dept. Which is annoying.

Re: FF Student Lounge
Well, I turned everything in late, and I have work to do over the summer, and my professors aren't pleased, even though they do think that my papers were good.
I have a big problem with procrastination and deadlines, but what I do get done I usually do well with.

Wow, I didn't realize I was supposed to review the entire thread each time I go to make a response, even when I've recently posted in it. Anyway, checking the previous page I see you're doing well too, so good job to you, bey. (there ... you feel better now?)
Moving on ... since we're posting grades, I've received 2 of 3 so far: - Control Systems Design: A
- Microcomputer Systems: D (but I'm just happy to have passed!)
Still waiting on EM Fields II grade. Anyway, that means that I can sell back my Microcomputers book on Friday when I have to run back in to school for something else. I'll bring 3/4 of the kids (the 9-yr old will be in school) and meet Mrs Shake for lunch since we'll be on that side of town.

Re: FF Student Lounge
Financial Statisics a B!
New class--Project Managment holding an A average so far...Last nights class was a wash (literally) tornado sierns and heavy rain meant everyone spent the evening look at radar on laptops in the buildings main hallway on the second level. Most everyone took chances and left around 9:30, but my experience wasn't over yet. Got caught up in some rising water on the street by our house. Car stalled out, got pushed into someones flooding driveway by a fourwheeler. The water was running a foot deep and still rising. Deputy sheriff took me home. Got home around midnight. Called Ding on his way home this morning from work, (yeah you could say he is not happy). The waters have resided now and the car did start, water in the floor boards, but the car it is driveable. I was able to drive it to work this morning, parked it in a parking garage. When I lock it up the alarm usually gives a loud HONK, it was a mere MEEP. It was funny, but sad. I hope the damage is minimal and all it needs is a good drying out which should happen this weekend. The weather is supposed to be hot and humid, in the low 90's I believe is what Ding said.

Re: FF Student Lounge
Finally starting to get some grades back.
Fucking awful and pointless writing class: B+ (from the people I've talked to it seems like everybody got a B+ )
Criminal Law: B+
Constitutional Law: B+
Contracts: Still waiting (exam was like April 20-something)
So, B+. I am indifferent to the writing class, amazed I got a B+ in Crim Law because I totally shit the bed, a little disappointed at Con Law because I thought I rocked it p. hard. I guess overall it was not so bad because I started doing much, much less actual work about a month in to the semester and still maintained comfortable mediocrity with minimal effort.
In general law school still sucks asshole.

Re: FF Student Lounge
I'm going to be orientated, advised, and registered this coming Friday.
Do you like my use of the passive voice there? I can't believe Firefox recognizes "orientated" as a real word. What about "conversate"? Nope? Good.
