Apparently an abusive user was at fault. They had to remove 30 GB of data and it took a while, hence the slowness.

I don't think anyone understands the extent to which severe social damage was done yesterday. I was in the Chat Emporium with Demi, SR71 and :inscrutable: when suddenly, :inscrutable: had the most brilleant idea of ideas (or he said something and I had a Neutron brainwave and thought of something brilleant and geneious and just as I was encouraging :inscrutable: to make the idea happen MY POSTS WERE DENIED BECAUSE OF THE RUSSIAN ROMANIAN IP HACKING THAT JUST RUNS RAMPANT ON THIS SITE COMPLETELY UNCHECKED BY ANY OF OUR SO CALLED ADMINS.

I'm lodging a formal complaint to the internet postehaste forthwidth and then you'll all be sorry.
