So we've been grieving for our beloved Voltron Chickenbunny since she died 3 weeks ago. We can never replace her, but we decided we needed a new furbaby to help ease the transition. I actually had planned to get one before VC left us, but she went earlier and quicker than expected.
Li'l Puppet (not so little anymore, but still utterly devastated by the loss) wanted a pug puppy this time. She decided it should be a boy, so it was less like "replacing" VC. It took me a ton of research and phone calls, and I was still going to be wait-listed for weeks or even months (would be even longer for a girl; for some reason males make up a larger portion of the litters).
But after sharing our tale of woe with several reputable breeders, I found one who had a litter of 3 boys and one girl, all of which were spoken for, but she took a fairly ruthless approach with the call-backs, and there was one that the previously listed candidates were not ready to adopt immediately. So we drove all the way to the Sacramento area -- about 2 hours each way -- and picked up this handsome boy.
I know this is backward from
tradition, but this one got his RL name before his Internet name. Meet ... Tuco!*

And just in case you thought this li'l guy is always lying down, I've got video evidence to the contrary, but the filesize is too big. I'll get up uploaded to Instagram or some shit. It's just like a million percent easier to get still pics when he's stationary. Dude already tears through the house at Mach 1 or so.

If you don't know where the name comes from, or think it originated with Breaking Bad, do some damned googling and get yourself educated about the greatest spaghetti Western of all time, you ignorant Philistine. Back before Clint Eastwood was an old man yelling at an empty chair. But the name is from Eli Wallach's character.
