Had something Friday that made me throw up the pizza I ate, then just sniffles all weekend. I'm getting better, though.

On top of the flue I've developed a severe ear infection. and then last night I wound up in the hospital

I started to feel really light headed and dizzy, and my chest was pounding with a rapid heart beat. My wife, a registered nurse started Freaking out an ran me to the hospital thinking I might have ventricular tachycardia

After the fastest hospital admission I've ever had, they ran a few tests and figured out that it was a regular tachycardia. My resting heart rate was around 145bpm with blood pressure that peaked at 168 over 123. It kept up like that for a few hours before dropping back to normal. I spent the night in the Er before they let me go this morning

doctors figure this was fever/sickness induced, and have me on some stronger than usual antibiotics/antivirals. and strict orders to rest, and to come back if it happens again.

I just have the lingering sinus infection. If I could find a cure for it, I'd make a million.

I am in the middle of a second cold in less than a month. I can go years without one, and now two. It's not a really bad one and I can function, but still. Wah...

I've got some sort of low-grade virus thing now. My wife and kid had something like it recently, so maybe it's that. Hard to tell for sure, since I rarely suffer from the slings and arrows of outrageous viruses the way they do. This is just a low fever, scratchy throat & cough, and some sneezing (the last may just be coincidental allergies).

But anyway, feeling hot sucks and I hate it. Woke me up last night and I had to kill it with ibuprofen. Luckily, I rarely take that anymore since I stopped having back trouble, so it actually works on me.

I have had a sore throat and ears for days. I would like it to either get worse or go away, because at this point it's just annoying.

I thought that the last virus I had was hanging onto my nose for way longer than normal, when I was rudely made quite aware that it's allergies. I'm now squirting a steroid up my nose along with taking generic Zyrtec and I'm much better. :phew:

Still sick with the icky congestion and crap. I hate the hot feeling too Sock, but usually I get the shuddery chills with fever, which is worse IMO. Also, in addition to the swollen nodes in my neck, now the ones in my shoulders, armpits, chest and groin are all getting bijiggity. So it might just be plauge. Anyway, before a chorus of Ring around the Rosie breaks out, I go to the doc in the morning.

I'm glad you mentioned Ring around the Rosie, 'cause if not I'd still be puzzling over what "plauge" is. Sounds like a sound you make when sneezing and coughing simultaneously. PLAUGE!

Well, transportation issues kept me from being able to go. BUT I woke up this morning feeling a lot better. With medicine I feel almost normal. So :crossed:

I am on the mend and won't have to go in on Monday, which was the earliest I could reschedule.

It's most likely swollen lymph nodes, I get that sometimes with the flu or even a severe cold.

I came down night before last with the latest crud that has raced through my worksite.

It's some fairly common type of rhinovirus, so far as I can tell. Sneezing sets the charge and mucus runs the rest of the day if you are upright. Lie down, and I can sleep and my nasal passages clear. But, the rest of my body is totally fatigued. If I make it to the keyboard, I feel like a zombie pecking away at the keys.

I finally got full control of the bed, so I'm going back to sleep....

And I can't take time off now or for awhile 'cause we're in the middle of getting a new system rolling with a go-live date of 12/13, not to mention that it's end of month this week AND if I took tomorrow or Friday off, I wouldn't get paid for Thursday, Thanksgiving.

I mean.. sick.. now? Srsly?! :rant:
