No it doesn't, it states that humans can see the total eclipse if they are in the correct location once a month, the total eclipse just doesn't happen to fall on the Earth every month. Read the article, don't just spew random nonsense all the time.

lol, they are the same ones giving you the model that doesn't work!

NASA's model works, otherwise they wouldn't be able to send spaceships to other planets and Moons.

Just because you can't understand it, doesn't mean that it doesn't work.

Contrary to some who try to claim that the eclipse should move from east to west, the shadow of the Moon moves from west to east at about 1,700 Km per hour.

Should we have a Eclipse Party?
I feel like we should all be together.

I decide that traffic is going to be so horrendous that I will not be traveling to the PATH OF TOTALITY to view the total eclipse for several reasons. One, I don't have the money. Two, I don't have the money. Three, I don't have the time. You thought I was going to say the money, right?

Me? I'd hate to have to look for porta-potties.

In my own house I have several bathrooms, I don't like porta-potties. Have you ever been in one?
If you're outstanding in a field, you must be a farmer.

I have been in entirely too many porta-potties.
I'll be watching from the balcony overlooking my back yard, provided the cloud cover gives us a break. We're at 99.5%, but in the Willamette Valley. My toilet is indoors, steps away, and does not have the legions of the careless visiting it on one day.
If you're outstanding in a field, you probably didn't see the sign warning about the bull.

But I have seen 180 (or less) lb farmers leading a 2,000 lb bull around by the ring in the bull's nose when the bull was enamored by a cow, Farmers are smarter than you think.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
So, I got pictures. They're not great, but they're about what you'd expect based on my previous images.
I took one about every 5 minutes for 20 minutes before and after. I also printed out this cute thing NASA did, which was a pinhole camera in the shape of the state....
Pictures will follow. Now is time to work.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
I didn't get any pictures that are worth sharing, except this lovely cloud cover we had going on.
My bortraption worked great, or at least good enough. I got to see about a 78% eclipse and it was neat.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
Complete Non Event here - we were due for 70% eclipse, bright and sunny skies. Didn't notice a thing. Is it over yet?
Guess I'll have to wait for April 8th, 2024.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
I got to see it! We had like 93 or 94%. I really wish we could have gotten to the path of totality, but this was pretty cool too.
I had no intention of taking any pictures, but then I saw this and got a few pictures of it:
eclipse1.JPG
The little holes in those leaves made a bunch of pinhole cameras.
Then, just because I had the camera, I put my eclipse glasses over the lens and took this:
