Is it bad of me that one of the interesting things about that last video (gefilmt mat enger Dron) is seeing what people have in their attic rooms and garages?
I have a question, and it might be a bit belated, but I’m not liable to get an answer anywhere else: Are the boars in the above video the 30-50 feral hogs everyone was talking about on the Internets a few weeks ago? Because it doesn’t look like there are 30-50 of them. I’d say 15-25 at a guess. I didn’t count, but I’d be surprised if there were 30.
If these are the 30-50 feral hogs, they don’t look all that threatening and I’m not sure why all the hoopla was necessary to defend oneself from them. I wouldn’t want to face them all head-on in a fight, but if you got out of their way I should think you’d be safe.
If they aren’t the 30-50 feral hogs, does anyone have reliable information about said 30-50 feral hogs? Thank you in advance. I’ve seen a large amount of Twitter jokes and speculation, but this seems like the sort of danger one should be educated about.
I’m not actually worried about the 30-50 feral hogs, given all the other much more significant worries currently occupying my attention, but I saw an opportunity to weave a long-running meme with a recent Internets joke, and I wasn’t about to squander it, dammit

A mystical Malaysian island is grappling with a “seaborne invasion” of wild boar, which some believe are swimming kilometres across one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes before destroying crops.
Quote:
Fishermen working in the strait have reported seeing “snouts in the dark” in coastal waters each night, though the animals may also have been stowaways on shipping.
They're not sending us their best porcines. They'll shit everywhere, they eat crops, they hump our innocent domestic hogs, and some of them, I assume, are good hogs.

How are there so many, though, and where are their parents?
